Does the fact that the NFL owners and players are going to mediation mean there will be no lockout?

I hope so.......as an avid Steeler fan, I'd hate to see it happen. The NFL needs to get it right and look at what happened to Baseball a few years ago. I don't think it will be that bad (football is stronger than baseball in my opinion), but anything in this economic climate is bad.

There is just no logical reason for the two sides not to work out something. The players need the owners and the owners need the players. Like autigeremt says, anything in this economic climate is bad. Fans will not put up with a bunch of nonsense. Sympathy is in short supply.

I hope there isn't a lockout. For one NFL is fun to watch sometimes. For two, WTH does a year long lockout do to our Economy? I'm sure it doesn't help.

It's millionaires arguing with billionaires over money. For Adrian Peterson to make the comments he did on Twitter, I only heard, didn't see. He equates what is happening to modern day slavery. This yahoo is making $10 million/year & that is modern day slavery?? Come on Adrian, that's ridiculous!!
