Tired of this argument

I'm getting sick of hearing "there's nutcases on both sides". At first I was just half-heartedly agreeing with them, and then the more I think about it I do believe that Bammer has more. I don't ever remember hearing about an Auburn guy shooting his son after a loss, or beating his wife or kids, or throwing a brick through a coaches window, etc. Maybe I'm biased.....if anyone can set me straight (or strengthen my argument) let me know

You're 100% right. Sadly, many in society try to gloss over the truly evil mindset of these things by rationalizing that " everyone " has these sorts of fans, and it's really not any indication or measure of one particular group...

Bull !

Time and time again, it's been shown just how degenerate and bat sh*t crazy these bammers truly are. It's an ugly side of humanity that no one wants to admit to, so as some sort of defense mechanism, people make themselves feel better and say " oh, fans like these are everywhere ... ". True, but with bama, their fan bases condones and encourages this sort of over the top zealotry. Bama is a cancer to college sports and to society as a whole.

We have dumba$$ fans too. Not as many, but we have them. Some drunk AU idiot will probably get arrested around UAT with several jugs of Round-up. If it happens we know that he does not represent all of us. I love AU and hate UAT as much as anyone on this board, but that still doesn't make me delusional enough to believe that all Auburn fans are classy.

I think you're missing the point, and quite frankly, thinking like a bammer. We couldn't be upset at the killing of two innocent trees and then turn around to kill off one of their trees. That's just stupid, regardless if they even HAVE any such an iconic tree, bush, flower garden... I have no idea.

And we'd sure as he'll not praise the idiot who did such a crime, make t- shirts celebrating it, or set up a defense fund. That's not Auburn. Hell...that's not MOST people.

No.....not all Auburn Fans are classy. But here's the deal. We can legitimately say that no Auburn Person would do something like this (if only because it hasn't happened yet). They can never (Evvvvvvvverrrrrr) say that no Bama Fan would shoot someone - or beat someone - or permanantly damage someone's property all because of a silly little game. That's the difference...as a previous poster said - the Bama football "culture" (read sidewalk alumni) seems to breed this type of thing. I've always felt sorry for the true alumni of that "other school". They get a bad rap, and the only mistake they made was attending the wrong school :poke: . Thanks to the Bama fans on these Boards that are decent human beings. I know your heart's not here, but there's always a place in the "Family" for you when you decide that you've had enough of stupid rednecks destroying something you love.

Just wanted to let you guys know, that we Clemson fans are hoping that something can be done about your trees. This is a pretty low life type thing that has been done to ya'll. I hate that a rivals fan would stoop to such low behavior. Look forward to seeing you guys in September, but hope we come out on the better end this time.

Don't forget about one of them stabbing an Aubbie at the Phi Kappa Tau house a few years ago..where is the out rage for that!!

This is from 2006 WSBTV reporting(i had just been gone a few years):

Quote:

AUBURN, Ala. -- A mistrial was declared in the case of a Mobile man charged with stabbing Auburn University students on the eve of last year's Iron Bowl......(skip blah blah)

Witnesses say the incident where five people were stabbed occurred after Barrett and two others became loud and shouted, "Roll Tide" at the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity house.

- This guy convinced a mentally challenged man to take the blame. He ended up being guilty and only served 18 months.

Don't see any out cry about this from all the bammers who think this whole thing was so funny. Hey Gayer Evans here is a real story.

You are spot on. I was thinking this exact same thing. The list of documented, idiotic bammie fans/actions is so lengthy. I'm not saying there aren't some crazed AU fans, but there just seems to be a lack of loopy incidents compared to the bammies. The bammies are clearly #1 in this category -- it's the way they roll.
