Alabama class at its best from a hoops coach...

Brad Law reported on Inside the Auburn Tigers Radio Friday when Alabama visited Auburn in basketball an Alabama assistant basketball coach

asked an Auburn football player "how much are they paying you?"

Very nice.

I sometimes think many Alabama supporters have more class then a lot of the administrators and employees at the University of Alabama and I base that on reports, and personal experience. (Barry Allen, Larry White immediately come to mind) That said if Alabama fans do misbehave they take their cues from the top.

Oh no, they're not all like that! We should shower them in hugs and kisses for their "support" of Toomer's!

Get with the program, ladies and gents. Once a prick, always a prick.

Since we all know who you are directing that statement to, kindly show where anyone has said ANYTHING about "ALL" and I would appreciate it done quickly.

I know for a FACT that did NOT come from me, so if you are trying to present it in that way, I suggest you look in a mirror before talking about how someone else acts.

You continue your way of painting everyone with the same brush and it will be done to you, that's the way Karma works. I'm sure we won't hear you complain when what goes around comes around, cause it ALWAYS does.

Call a jerk a jerk, but every Bama fan is not a jerk anymore than every Auburn fan is a class act, that's for sure. Glass houses, throwing stones, very bad idea.

I wasn't directing my statement at anyone in particular. <_<

Continue apologizing for bammers and I'll continue calling them out on what they are. Trash.

Speaking of "karma", I wasn't aware that I went to their university and poisoned their beloved quad or destroyed any of their property. Nor was I aware that I was a coach that accused their players of cheating. Your definition of "karma"(instant, mind you  ) fell about 100 yards short of making any sense.

Slinging insults is part of a rivalry, and I'm not stopping now. If you want to go play in the sandbox with the other children pretending everything is hunky-dory, then be my guest.

I'd suggest you should once again not derail yet another thread while preaching from your soapbox. I'm not the only one irritated by it.

Again you do it.

Please show me where I have apologized for ANYONE.

Call it as you see it, everyone should, which is what I have said. The other thing I said is no one should be called something or thought of in a way because of the actions of SOMEONE ELSE.

If the above that was reported was true, that is a small minded jerk, but he ain't everyone associated with UA.

Judge people by their own actions, not the actions of others. Seems from your actions and statements you don't want to do that but would have a fit if someone judged you for the actions of another.

Sad and pathetic, insult added to injury, two wrongs never equal a right and to the point of trying to use logic and reason where there is none present and people not caring if they are adding to the problem.

I'll continue to judge Bama and Auburn fans the exact same way, individually by their actions.

This act of vandalism has been eye opening for sure, in many ways...

Just curious are the Bama fans who have raised $32,000 already to donate to Auburn "trash"

Not all Alabama fans are trash. I agree with Kelly. It has been my experience that the athletic department at UA is less then professional.

Its absurd to judge an entire fan base based on the behavior of the worst just as I am sure you would not want your own personal character judged at the moment of your worst decision.

I mean it is a game.

yes slinging insults is part of a rivalry, let's be honest, things are beyond that.

the irony is priceless. call a spade a spade, i'm all for that. statement made by a UA staffer above..LOW CLASS, he should be fired for that. i'm "with the program" for sure, that kind of crap shouldn't be allowed and it is tasteless and he needs to be held responsible for it.

my problem came in when you have made it sound like people are saying "oh overlook anything and everything cause there are some out there that are being nice" and i've not seen ANYONE anywhere doing that.

UA should hold him responsible for that, just as they did the one playing the music at the Iron Bowl and if they don't, they are setting an example for fans to act in the same way.

we are soooo on the same page there.

Okay, just about every post you've made today defending them? You joined today and you've done nothing but accuse Auburn fans of being classless for questioning the motives of our bitter rival.

If the above that was reported was true, that is a small minded jerk, but he ain't everyone associated with UA.

But he's an official representative of them. He's not just a typical fan or random forum poster. He is an appointed coach.

Out of curiosity, what made you join this message board?

SIGH....defending them?? NO...let's be very, very clear. I have said every Bama fan is not a jerk, all Bama fans have not acted in a bad manner, at least judge the individuals by THEIR actions.

Also who is "them" that I have defended? What did "them" do that I had to defend?

You joined today and you've done nothing but accuse Auburn fans of being classless for questioning the motives of our bitter rival.

QUOTE PLEASE...no paraphrase.

But he's an official representative of them. He's not just a typical fan or random forum poster. He is an appointed coach.

yes he is an official representative of THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA, which is why i think it should be handled by the University as such. I don't give a crap if that man sells his house and gives that money to the fund for the Toomers, his own personal actions have shown his true character, he is a small minded jerk that has NO BUSINESS representing ANY University or coaching ANY sports team. a coach WILL always be an example to their team and they should be a good example and he clearly is not a good role model.

So we are clear...when you said "once a prick, always a prick" who were you speaking of?

Oh forgot this one...

Out of curiosity, what made you join this message board?

saw it today while searching out something else on google. was really kind of shocked to see some Auburn fans upset with the wrong people. i understand being upset, i'm sickened over this, i've cried over this, have actually been glad that my daddy wasn't around to see this. i've had some good memories very tainted over this because it wasn't just trees. i hope the Auburn fan base can rise above the attitude of the scum that did this and the scum that support him. we are better than that. there is a lot of anger and heartbreak over this situation, it just has to be directed in the right place and at the right people.

things like this, even in life will either tear things apart or people will come out stronger on the other side. if some Auburn fan retaliates for this, i will feel bad and ashamed and hope that Bama people don't see me as "one of them" then.

Answer.

Ya know what, I don't even care. You have to be the most irritating Auburn fan I've ever run into.

You are not worth my time, still.

Character ALWAYS shows through...yup bad Auburn fan, I won't hate everyone in a group...bad, bad Auburn fan. lol

I know a Tom Kearns from the Atlanta area. He's a Wisconsin grad, and one of the nicest people I've ever known.

I work with PLENTY of Bammer fans, and I will say that not too many of them care about our trees or anything else we have.

I have 3-4 people, that every time they walk by, they say, "How are those trees??" (with a smirk on their face).

One even jokes of visiting Updyke in prison.

So while I agree with the new guy, you can't base a group of people by 1 person.... You also can't wipe the TURD off an Alabama fan's face, it will always stink.

I was going to waste my time and post a collection of facts which you seem to want to ignore. Stuff like who poisoned our trees, who played 'son of a preacher man', who sings " Hey ___ , we just beat the HELL out of you! " , or remind you about which school's coaches asked our players how much they were paid....

But these things, you already know. And simply choose to ignore. So I'm really not sure what point there is in even trying to converse w/ you on this matter, at all.

Anyone who thinks that all the trashy bama fans are the uneducated ones who never went to UAT are very naive. My own experience over many years has taught me better, and there's nothing better than experience. But of course I am now extremely biased.

But take a better example. I have a close firnd who is a real estate appraiser. He is not an Auburn grad and, coming from another state, he has liked both bama and Auburn.

Most of the guys he works with are bama grads......note that's grads not just fans.

He said this morning he has been surprised and disappointed at the attitude of his bama associates. He said now they actually seem to be glad that the trees have been poisoned.

Welcome to the real world my friend.

This is the 2nd thread that I've seen you post in since you got here where you derail the topic and attack fellow posters. Knock it off or be gone.
