Georgia starting quarterback Aaron Murray is being examined by medical staff this afternoon after suffering “some kind of injury” over the weekend, according to UGA associate athletic director Claude Felton.

Murray was said to be on crutches today with what an apparent leg, ankle or foot injury.

Felton said he would not have any information on the nature or severity of the injury until after the medical examination

.

680TheFan came on w/ a special update that gave 1 unverified report that he had broken his ankle in 2 places. Then went on to say it may be a real bad sprain.

Nobody is reporting how he sustained the injury. Knowing UGA's reputation as the current Fulmer Cup holder, the question begs to be asked: did he injure his ankle in a non-criminal activity? B)

The Red & Black is who broke this story, as I understand it. How / why they got the facts so wrong, that it was a break in 2 places, seems simply odd. From where did that info come ? Even if you just see Murray in a foot cast, and conclude he broke a bone, where do you get the 'broke at the ankle, in two places' part?

And why all the initial secrecy over what he was doing at the time? Are football players forbidden to play pick up basketball or soccer ? Why would Claud Felton not just come out and say - " he sprained his ankle" ?

:gofig:
