This is like asking which of your children you love the most.

For offense, I'll say Pat Sullivan. I was on campus during those years and Sullivan's emergence signaled a turn-around in Auburn's football fortunes.

My FAVORITES (greats too, but not saying they were the best we ever had)

QB

toss up: Dameyune Craig (a real warrior, just about single handedly won the SEC champ game for us we ended up losing by a point)/ Stan White (Auburn through & through, a rare 4-year starter in the SEC!)

RB

Tre! diminutive 4th string RB that stepped in to start when starting 3 injured and ran all over Bama

FB

Tommie Agee

WR

Freddie Weyband. Mr. Clutch. auburn to the core and but for def pass interference (and sugar bowl officials) catches winning TD w/ 5 secs to go against FSU in his last game

TE

Robert Johnson. Memories of this big guy hurdling would be tacklers

OC

Ben Tamburello

OG

Brain cramp: the guy that started under Day in '81 then played for Green Bay for years

OT

toss up: Willie Anderson/Ed King. highly touted recruits that were as advertised

My dog's name is Bo Carnell. I'll give you two guesses to figure out my answers to this question.

Hard to argue with anyone's post--there are so many great ones...

But going back an era only us old farts remember: Tucker Frederickson certainly deserves recognition--to me, he's sort of like the founder of the RBU tradition (at least in my 57 years). But again for the oldies: No one mentions Jimmy Sidle at QB? Weren't some of the school records Cam broke this year set by Sidle?

As for favorite teams (I know, slightly off topic):

My favorites would have to be

1st: 1972 Amazins

2nd: 2010 Come Back Kids

3rd: 2004 Caddy-Ronnie-Jason Show + Shut Down Defense

This season was the only season where I got so nervous I litterally had to look away at points. Cardiac seems to be a pretty good way to describe them to me. :big:

Bo Jackson and Caddy had been my 2 favorite, but I think Cam is for sure right up there at the top now for 3 reasons, his game changing ability was unrivaled, his perseverance was amazing, and his attitude was AUsome. Caddy and Bo didn't have to endure what Cam and Auburn had to last year. I think b/c Cam was QB, he was more in the spotlight to change a game, and he could do it with his feet or arm, whereas Caddy and Bo were limited to running, maybe catching a pass, at least Caddy. Did Bo have any receptions in college?

I think with the upcoming season, based on their performance from last year, Dyer and OMac are going to quickly jump to the top of all of our favorites list!!

Kudos on the Tucker Frederickson recognition. Some of my old school favorites, but maybe not tops in the statistics, were RB's Mickey Zofko, Mike Currier, and Terry Henley, Wingbacks Alvin Bresler, Dick Schmalz, WR Connie Fredrick.
