Neil Caudle Update

I posted yesterday that I heard that he might be transferring to Appalachian State. That still might be in the works but it appears that if it might happens it will be sometime after school ends in May. He will be going through spring practice.

that make a lot of sense.  So if he somehow wins the job, he stays.  Going to be tough for him to do that with Rollison (if he is back in mix), Newton, Trotter, and Mosely.  I think he fits Mulzahn's offense the least compared to the other guys.  Wish him luck though, he is a good kid.  Thanks for the info!

Why would he transfer to a div II school just play a year of football?  He should have his degree in May so I just assumed he would get his degree and then start his life away from football.  I'm not doubting you ST, because you've been right on just about everything you've reported.  I guess with a year of eligibility left he can start pursuing his masters for free.

Maybe he wants to play... If he loves the sport enough... one year at a smaller school is better than never playing at all.

I am not sure what exactly is going on but from what I have heard I expect him to go through spring practice and if he isn't the starting QB then I expect him to transfer after classes end in May.

I know that if I was in Neil position and Learned in May that I would be riding pine for the 5th year in a row (he was red shirted right?) I would want to play.  If Auburn didn't want me to start I would find the best team that would be willing to offer me the position.  This will probably be the last year of Neil's life that he can play football.  Make the most of it Neil.

I feel for him not getting to start. I, or anybody else, shouldn't hold anything against him for wanting to actually play some football his final year. If he does leave, best of luck to ya. Hope you really kick some tail!
