Lache Seastrunk theory***

For those of you that think we have no chance with this kid, think again.

Whilst it may seem we have cooled off this him, there is one question i need an answer too.

If we haven't shown any interest in him recently, why is it that he keeps us in the race if he thinks we would rather have Lattimore and Dyer combo.

Im not completely sold we get him, but just something to think about. He has thrown around so many names like Cal, Baylor etc, but whenever he speaks of auburn he speaks highly of them.

He is going to announce his top 4, which include AUBURN, yet again.

You all wonder who our surprise could be this year, it could well be him.

Out of everyone...I want seastrunk the most..he is by far the most electric and would add a homerun threat to our offense that au has not seen in quite some while....with that being said, i STILL dont think we get him but you never know. Im not gonna give up on the thought! LOL

At this point I'm beginning to think that either:

a) All of this is smoke and mirrors on Lache's part so that he can have his "surprise" commitment when it comes.

or

Something fishy happened during his recruitment that caused some schools to back off.

You don't back off a player like Lache Seastrunk without a really, really good reason.

I feel like we've already had 2 surprises in Gayden and Newton.  Seastrunk or Lattimore would be the icing on the cake.  I would be thrilled to get either one of them but I do like Seastrunks running stlye better.  Getting both of them is a pipe dream.

Everytime I see the video of Lache, I am reminded why I would welcome him to the Plains.  He is so electric and would compliment Dyer the best in my opinion.  I agree he is the Homerun threat that would take us on another level.  So quick and explosive.  I would be ecstatic with either or both.  Not sure who I would prefer b/c I think both would have great careers.  I think Lattimore has a better head on his shoulder and more grounded.  Not as much of a showboat.  We dont need penalties like the ones that nearly cost us the Outback bowl.  Just some thoughts.

The kid is definitely quick and one of the most fluid backs in the nation.  With that being said I think he is show off and likes a lot of attention.  So.... obviously we are doing something (calling him or emailing him) for him to keep us in the running otherwise why would he mention AU.  He wants to major in Mass Communications and TV/Film, so you see he likes the spot light.  All I can say is if he comes to AU give him the ball and let him show out.

To me the style of three best backs this year reminds me of the three best running backs of "ALL TIME" !!!!! If you don't believe me (I don't know how to link youtube videos to here) just look each one up on youtube and compare.

Marcus Lattimore = Herschel Walker ......... tall, thick, power, bruising, a "glider"   

Michael Dyer = Barry Sanders ................. short, compact, shifty, a "pin-baller"   

Lache Seastrunk = "Bo" Jackson ............ athletic, proportion, vision, a "burner"   

Size on the first two is close. Lache is young, he could grow a couple inches and add 20 - 30 lbs in the next two years. Marcus is built like and moves like Herschel, he even has the noticably long feet. lol Michael is built like and moves like Barry, "hard to hem up". And Lache is a little smaller than Bo (has room to grow, 2" and 25lbs is not a stretch) but man, he runs just like him !!! In the video by jet7771 (on youtube) of Bo and Lache in the one on here (of ML LS & MD), they outran dbs that were at least 10 yards down field from them (just accelerated right by them). I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't think of a better backfield Barry-Bo-Herschel then ...... or Michael-Lache-Marcus now !!!

As I eluded to in a former post on the matter, there may be another factor as to why we supposedly have "backed off."  I can't say much and I am not ruling him signing with us out, either.  All I can really say is be patient, let it play out, and just maybe it will make more sense later.

Seastrunk was on the All-Academic team as a Junior, and had a 3.4 GPA i read somewhere...so unless something drastic happened in his last year....its not his grades....like i said above, i think Lache kinda asked everyone to back off a little bit so he could focus on the now.
