BGBOB58 0
Any chance that the Auburn-Clemson game will be moved to the GA Dome for the 2010 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff? I think that would be a good deal for Auburn, and one that they should strongly consider. Anyone agree/disagree? tuffy11111 0
2011 kickoff POSSIBLY but I really doubt it. Clemson would get screwed because Auburn would have gotten a home and Clemson wouldn't. The 2010 game is already decided as LSU and North Carolina. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/87054-auburn-clemson-2010/#findComment-897330 Share on other sites

MarcAntony 0
I did some investigating of their roster today and see that CU is losing their top3 recieving options: JFord, Spiller, & the TE. These 3 players accounted for 75% of their team's receptions in 2009. Obviously, Spiller was also their top return man and runner, as well. On defense, they'll be bringing back a good deal of talent, but they are losing (if memory serves) their leading tackler and 2 top defensive lineman, including Ricky Sapp. Bowers will, however, still be there. But its much easier to account for one excellent rush end than two. In the secondary, they'll return three of four, I believe. I think this game could really serve as a confidence booster for our defense. They will be unsure of themselves when the season starts, having been statistically the worst defense in AU history in 2009. The first real game will be against MSU, who will put some points on them and they may struggle a bit there (in a win of course), but then the Clemson game will come and I believe our defense will shut them down, propelling us into the heart of our schedule with a boost of much needed momentum. Good lord, I cannot wait for 2010 Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/87054-auburn-clemson-2010/#findComment-897406 Share on other sites
CaptainBrannigan 0
I am just glad that Spiller is graduating from Clemson this year. Their backup RB average over 7 yards per carry this season. MarcAntony 0
Thats actually quite common as far as backup running backs go. The backup will often have a higher, and sometimes much higher YPC. I'm sure he's good - they have great talent. But I wouldn't read much into that stat. aufan57 922
Clemson may also have a new QB. Kyle Parker will be drafted by a MLB team after this season. He is a junior on the baseball team. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20091223/SPORTS060407/912230384/Music-City-Bowl-may-be-end-for-Clemson-quarterback Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/87054-auburn-clemson-2010/#findComment-897448 Share on other sites

MarcAntony 0
No question - otherwise, it wouldn't be a confidence building momentum boost when we shut em down Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/87054-auburn-clemson-2010/#findComment-897470 Share on other sites
Scrambledog 0
I tried to tell everyone that Northwestern was a good team and to take them seriously. Now, I will tell you that Clemson is going to be a good team and we better take them very seriously. They lose a TON of talent this year, but, Dabo Sweeney is a man of high character and an excellent recruiter. He is going to make Clemson into a much tougher, stronger team. He has an SEC background and they will come out and fight a lot harder than the "soft" Clemson teams we have seen in recent years. We should have the edge on them next year, as it will be early in the season and they will still be finding replacements. A lot of my family are Clemson and South Carolina grads, so I am really hoping we put a beatdown on both of them so I can really enjoy the Christmas get together. War Eagle! parkjas2001 0
They have a real good d-loine and Andre Ellington is a legit RB for next year. FYI UT and UCLA are the 2011 GA Dome game.
