According to the folks over at Hogville he is now on track to qualify. He made high enough on his latest ACT to get in with the sliding scale. They seem to all think he is ours and they are not happy about it.

Well he is low on my top 6 wish list but if we dont get some of the others higher on our board, then he will be a nice pick up.

My point is they are higher on Whit and Thorton and they are priority over Jones right now.

Couldn't we take all 3? I don't know what next years prospects at DT look like and I think Thornton needs a rs year to add some pounds so they wouldn't be in the same senior class. I've always felt you can never have too many big guys but I trust the staff and their evaluatons.

You have a graet point. I just looked at the 150 watch list for next year for alabama high  school players and even though its gonna be 1 of the best classes in Alabama high school history, There are no DTs on the 150 watch list.

If this is true,I think that Thorton goes to UGA nad we stll get whitaker,not a bad deal IMO

I'm pretty sure Gabe Wright is from Carver in Columbus, and although he is high on us, right now he is higher on UAT.

This is true but i was only talking about in state future prospects. I had not looked outside the state yet. lol

I saw Stephen play this year.  He is very tall and thin, built more like a b'ball player.  It was the first game of the year against CCHS, and he didn't look particularly sharp.  Granted, it was the first game of the year, so he may have improved dramatically.  Not a guy I expected many D-1 schools to pursue based on my limited observation.

Remember both Alabama and Auburn passed on Phillip.  I agree he does need to add some weight Tennessee has already offered him.

Don't forget about Garrison Smith. If Garner is ousted by Kirby Smart, then expect for Thornton and Whitaker to jump on board and then for us to make a STRONG push for Smith.

we've already got Kenneth Carter, and at the AL-MS game they said he was a beast and mississippi didn't have an answer for him.  I think we end up with Whit and Jones. We'll have seven DL and 6 out of 7 would be 4* or better, Very Solid Class.
