AU Cav 0
I don't think Saban can have contact with juniors yet so if he visited it would be to his coach with only a bump allowed. He even has a rule about that named after him doesn't he? There was already an article this year in which one of our 2011 QB prospects (Driskel, maybe?) mentions Saban accidentally bumping into him at school, and talking to him for a minute. Isn't the NCAA's "Saban Rule" a response to these bumps? Or was that his end around using video conferencing during a no contact period, or something like that? The "saban rule" is the improper "bumping" into players when they are supposed to have no contact with a recruit. He is famous for doing that. TheMayorOfChillville 31
From what I heard on the radio, Saban visited Fanning at Auburn High yesterday. He looks to be a strong bammer lean early, but anything can change once he starts taking his visits. Lint 0
Fanning is already known as a Bama lean..The idea we may lose another guy from the AU area to another SEC school annoys the p*ss out of me..Columbus, Ga and the Auburn-Opelika area should be an AU lock. Well just think of all the reasons we list for latt to leave his nearby school to come here... Just because a kid is a few mile away from a college doesn't make him a lock to go there nor should it Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/88257-lamichael-fanning/#findComment-921475 Share on other sites

I wanted to get out of town to go to college. I think a lot of people do. It may be more of a curse than a blessing when a kid from Auburn or Opelika turns out to be a great prospect. msg6367 1
The Saban rule is actually the improper texting of recruits during the dead period. Now I have an image in my head of Saban walking through the hallways at different high schools stalking recruits.
