WhiteTiger 2
My grandson was issued his Tiger uniform today. He gave up a full ride to The Citadel to become an invited walk at Auburn. He was called by the coaches a couple of days ago to come in early. He's 6' 2" and 275. He started for 4 years at Oxford High (6A) 3 of them at center in the spread and one at LT. I don't know his number yet. His name is Ryan Preston.
The SandMntTiger 9
Congrats WhiteTiger. Sounds like your grandson really loves Auburn to give up a free ride and walk on. Good luck to him in the future. Hope to see him on the field someday.

aujess07 4
Congrats WhiteTiger. I remember reading about your grandson. I live in Oxford but graduated from Wellborn. Oxford puts out great teams every year. Good to hear your grandson will be wearing the O and B.
auburn4ever 1,266
Now wait a second. You live Oxford but graduated from Welborn? how are you able to do that without getting killed? When I lived in Anniston, it was well known that the fans of those schools hated each other with a deep passion. But then again, there was no love lost between Oxford, Anniston and Welborn. auburn4ever 1,266
Sorry to any Saks fans who might be on here. I'd like to see us get more players from around Anniston & Oxford.

When I lived in Anniston, it was well known that the fans of those schools hated each other with a deep passion. But then again, there was no love lost between Oxford, Anniston and Welborn. As a child, I was able to watch the hatred due to the rivalry. I remember seeing the entire "Hill" covered with people for the football games against Oxford. The rivalry was huge. Once I got to high school, Oxford had expanded up to 5A and, due to reasons I'm unaware of, we never played them in football, unless it was like a spring game or something. We did play them in baseball though, but it was always remembered as a huge football rivalry. The annexation of Coldwater/Eastaboga pretty much put the final nail in the coffin. The last time I remember Wellborn's football team playing Oxford was a 2005 Spring Game maybe? I even think we won, but it was sad to see Oxford dress close to 100 when Wellborn could only suit up 40 at the most. I miss that rivalry.
au_weagle 0
I doubt 69 is also his number, unless Cam Newton and Aairon Savage share a locker. Same with Kodi Burns and Wes Byrum. Quite a few numbers are doubled up. Why is nobody taking 24? Did one of our DB's get it this year? I hope so that number is too good not to be used.
