On a recent trip to Hibbett's, I was elated to find an Auburn football jersey that was the perfect size to fit my

5-year-old son. I can hardly wait for both of us to gear up on gameday!

The best part of finding the jersey that would fit him was the number that was on the jersey. I will take great pride in my son wearing the number 18 jersey of Kodi Burns every Saturday this fall.

I hope Kodi will be one of the big contributors this year so that I can add to his legacy when I share with my son what a special football player he is.

What he did last year in that locker room in front of his team was the beginning of something really special. This year, I want to see his unselfishness pay off for him in a big way, like catching the winning touchdown pass in late January 2011.  :tdau:

War Kodi!!

He is a special player. In today's world so many of them are all about themselves. Last year showed what effect one man like this can make on a team.  One guy like this seems to attract more guys like this. That's what builds champions.

Man he doesn't have to produce to be called a special player. He's the most special player on our roster already no matter what he does on the field. He goes about his business with a great attitude and is so humble its unbelievable. Whether Kodi has over 600 receiving yards this or 0 receiving yards at all, Burns has been a blessing to the Auburn Football Program and will never be forgotten.

I hate how they always sell jerseys of seniors. You need to get a number 1, 12, or 23. Something like that. Somebody decent always wears those nembers.

They've been selling 18 for awhile now and if you pay enough money you can always get any number you want... but lets not steal this thread away from Kodi....

There is a vendor on ebay where you can get "blank" Auburn jerseys . Then take to your local sports / unifoirm supplier and have any number you want put on...I got 52 put on 2 years ago because we were big Antonio Coleman fans..AC saw it during fan day and invited us to Sewell Hall and gave my son autographs, football, AU Trinkets etc

We also have a Kodi jersey...He is a great guy

I'm all about some Kodi.  I feel like his selflessness last year was one of the main factors in the teams success(along with the arrival of CGC and the gang).  They had been through the dysfunctional-ality of the previous season and when Kodi stepped up the way he did a lot of that negativity just seemed to go away.

5 rushing tds 2 passinng tds and 1 receiving td and one heck of a blocker. I think he was "consistent component".

My first Auburn jersey was #24 for Carnell Williams.. I wore it every Saturday and watched the game with my family.. It came up missing one day and I was so upset because I never found it.. Come Christmas morning in 2004 I unwrapped my jersey to see it had been autographed by Cadillac. My mom took it and gave it to someone working with the team and had it signed as a gift. It's framed now.

War Eagle!

That's awesome!  I worked for the athletic complex when I was in college between 2002 and 2006.  Well I had keys to almost every room in that complex.  They actually have in the indoor practice facility a room that has overflow items.  These include bobble heads and unused cleats, gloves, jerseys, and etc.  Well from working there I actually got a couple items and one of those was a number 24 Cadillac jersey that he wore during practice.  I still have it and wear it to almost every game!  WDE

You are absolutely right. It was the spark that lit the fuse on the kind of team chemistry that builds championships. We saw Jason Campbell do it in 2004 against LSU. JC refused to lose, the team dug deeper, and they were unstoppable after that. Kodi changed things forever for Auburn because he is the kind of person he is. I love that kid.

I am confused now, before last season he was the starting QB.  "as of last season" = 09 "before last season" = 08 correct?
