TerritorialTigers 0
I was thinking of starting a thread about C. Davis but now we have this one. I would really like to know what's going on with CD as well. I hear good things about McNeal, Smith, and Mincy but nothing about Davis. How is he progressing in the first few days on practice? Even though all of the incoming freshman will look like all stars without pads. I'm just curious as to how he's doing, he is one out of three of my favorite players of the incoming class. TerritorialTigers 0
I think he ends up redshirting this year Aww man I hope not but if he needs it I understand. I am really pulling for this guy, maybe the coaches and players aren't talking him up so he can unleash against opponents in returning punts. A man can dream right?

I'm pulling for him as well, but he is likely to RS or have very limited PT which would encourage a RS. His best shot is Punt Returner, but a healthy PPL, T.Reed, and D. Washington (proven commodity), Q. Carr and others vying for the spot, should lead to great competition this year. I'm ok with CD RS a year if needed. If he gets a shot, I'll be as excited as anyone. milehighfan 1,256
I have to say I am really pulling for this guy But maybe a redshirt season would be just what he needs. Whatever happens, I feel he is going to some good things while wearing the Orange and blue
GoCrazyAuburn 0
I have never minded redshirting freshman. Unless they are really so ready to play that you can't, there is nothing wrong with giving them a redshirt. It lets them keep their year of eligibility just in case they need it, and it allows them to have a year to mature and learn the college game before getting thrown into the fire. Especially at CB there is nothing bad about taking a redshirt.
Rickys Rants 0
While I know ever player wants to come in and contribute as a true freshman, do we really want to waste a season of eligibility for meaningless playing time? They should look at a redshirt season as an extra year of FREE education to work on getting a degree!!!! If they graduate on time, they can enroll in grad school!!!! GTNupe11 2,144
He won't RS. Coach Lolley stated he's working on getting him and Mincy in the rotation and wouldn't even put it past them playing the 1st game.
Funnthasun 0
I agree ... he will not redshirt and will be in the CB playing rotation.
