I saw on a roster where Mack is listed at 360! I really hope that's a typo. RahRah is up to 240. Also, I just can't imagine a running back at 6'0 weighing 290. Anyway, I usually just lurk, but I wanted confirmation that Mack and J White were really that big.

360 is inexcusable.  He better get some descipline about him or he'll be never see the field.  And that's not addressing health issues.

Mack is just a big dude period.  I can see him coming down to maybe 320 on a hardcore plan, but he will have to really work at it.  Check out these pics..and this was while he was still in high school!

^^^THIS^^^^ It think his ideal and realistic playing weight should be very similar to Mike Berry. They seem to have similar body types. I will say this.....Mack weighed in at the underarmour game in the high 340's, and then on a punt he ran down the field and made a tackle. He moves VERY well for his size, but 360 is NOT his playing size.

By all means, as long as he is not like a big bowl of black pudding running at you, 360 is fine. However, if he's mostly fat he's gonna have to do somethin before the season starts.

According to those pics he looks like you could stamp Goodyear on him and rent him out on the weekends. But I'm sure coach Yox will take care of his girth.

Awful big guy.  Too big to be athletic.  He'll learn by the end of 2 a days.  Heck, he'll lose 10 lbs a day by the end of grass drills and sprints.  It's really embarrassing to be running wind sprints and vomiting at the same time.  This young man is essential to our offense now and for years to come.  He'll learn as soon as he gets his head on straight.  Which I hope is tomorrow!  JMO  :wareagle:

Right guard Byron Isom thinks 361-pound freshman Eric Mack can be a player this year, even if his weight is way up there. "Eric Mack definitely has the size to contribute," he said. "I’ve seen him working out. He runs pretty well for his size. I think he’ll be all right. I think he’ll learn how to work with that. I’m sure Coach Yox will have something to say about that. But he moves pretty well for his size."
