I was watching ESPNU and it was the Elite tournament in Florida. Well who does the two top players from the winning team mention (Austin Rivers & xx Bradley)? You got it, Auburn.  They both said we were in the mix. These guys were also being recruited by everyone including UNC & UK.  Go get'em Barbee!

Blast me if you want to. But there is a post on this thread about a guy who knows Trevor lacey and said that lacey told him Austin Rivers was coming to AU with lacey. Still not buying Rivers

Obviously the guy isn't too close to Trevor because the Butler PG isn't Cody... its Cudi so i'd take what he says with a grain of salt. Cody isn't even close to his real name. Justin Pride is his real name.

And Trevor doesn't have a little brother. Or at least not one thats directly related to him.

I think I know Trevor a little more "personally" than this bammer does  thats funny stuff.

I saw it live on tv. When they went to the theme parks. I think two of them had on AU hats (one for sure).

Rivers also talked about how he liked our style of play (or how it will be), so I think he truly is intersted.

It's great that Lacey and Rivers are interested, but I see Rivers at Duke and Lacey at UK. I'm glad Barbee is trying to get the best of the best, AU basketball should be near the top of the SEC consistently with him

Austin Rivers' father is Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers. If we could somehow land Austin, that would be AMAZING.

We may have a pretty decent shot with Trevor Lacey(even though, last i heard it was UK, UT, and bama in his top 3), but I'm pretty sure Austin Rivers has already committed to play for the gators, unless he has de-committed recently. I've seen both of them play several times and would be lucky to have either of them. I know Josh Langford and Trevor Lacey are friends and Josh is trying to recruit Trevor to come to AU, so maybe that will help us out a lot.

AU, Bama, and UT are all an even #2 for Trevor with UK as a slight lead.

So Austin Rivers has re-opened his recruitment and de-committed from UF? I've been paying attention to football, so this is news to me. He can straight up ball, that is for sure.

He decommitted back in April. Duke #1... Florida, UNC, Kansas #2. Glad he threw us a bone though!
