Well folks that just confirms it. Between the gator and the rattlesnake I ain't going outside again unless I'm packing buckshot. Seriously, the great outdoors are looking more dangerous than South Central L.A. after midnight.

I will never use a belly boat in a lake as long as I live. I have a friend who has a cabin in Dogtown, AL., not too far from Lake Weiss.

It definitely was not Lake Weiss.  And I do not believe the photos or the story.  A 28 or 23 foot gator would have made big news.  As popular as Lake Conroe is, there would have been a major outcry to get a 28 foot gator out of there.

Makes you wonder? I agree I wrote storm claims in Lake Conroe after Hurricane Rita, definitley would have been outcry.
