baccusm 12
Wondering if someone could help. What is the day, time, and location of fan day this year?
Jonesy 1
http://blog.al.com/goldmine/2010/07/auburn_fan_day_set_for_aug_15.html Auburn's annual football Fan Day will have a new venue. Fan Day, 2010, will be in the new Auburn Arena from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 15. That's a Sunday, sort of halfway through preseason practice. The men and women's basketball teams and their coaches will be on hand, too. That means Gene Chizik, Tony Barbee and Nell Fortner -- and their teams -- will sign autographs and such. Aubie and the Auburn cheerleaders will be there, too. The football team will be on the main concourse of the arena. The men and women's basketball teams will be on the practice court facility. The main basketball floor and the upper concourse will be closed. Fan Day is moving from Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
Guest In the Village
Ok, who went to Fan Day? I did but did not go inside. I thought they were going to open the Auburn Arena up for people to look thru and have a comfortable afternoon inside (I was not the only one who thought this). Instead it was about a 200 to 300 yard line waiting to get in. A lot of people were very upset about this, some I spoke to even drove three hours to come see the team and Coach Chizik and were upset that they had to stand outside in the 90+ degree heat (they were under the same impression that I was under). Anyway, it was good to see the support for our athletics. Unfortunately, due to the heat and the line, I decided not to stay but if anyone has any photos I would sure like to see them. AuburnEngineer 0
Fan day is a great idea but today was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at it. I have been to the last 5 fan days and they have always been great. This one was bad because the arena can not sustain that many fans like that. I mean I got to see the people i wanted to see and I still had to wait in a 30 minute line just to freaking leave!!!! Great idea poorly executed by event staff. Should have had it at stadium again
stealthyfan 124
We went too. Got in at the opening and then wait wait wait. Really just wanted to see the arena and so talked the ushers into letting us cruise around and take abunch of photos. The venue is very very nice. Great seats for all. The incline of the seats puts you right in the game. Steps were a bit long, but this arena will be a great location for years to come.
Bimmer05 0
I really REALLY wanted to have MD sign my #5 jersey, but I opted to wait and HOPE I have another opportunity to meet him. Maybe it won't be a decision I regret. Given it was 90+ degrees, a 3 hour (one way) drive, $75+ in gas (only get 10 mpg), all on top of hours waiting in line changed my mind on going. I would have enjoyed meeting the team, but it was too much trouble for one autograph. It will be a framed piece that I can give to my kids one day, and think having others sign it would be something I could regret years from now. paheadley 0
I didn't get to go, but I'm so proud of our fans. I saw a bunch of pics from the fan day and i didnt see a SINGLE fan wearing something stupid or a mullet or anything. If that's not the definitive proof that Auburn fans are classier than the turds, idk what is.
312234 0
I saw the line, turned around and went back home. I'm glad I didn't miss much. The best fan day I've been to was in BEC. Last year the one in JHS was terribly executed.

CameronCade 0
I went and it was very crowded. Stood in line for 2 hours and only got to meet the offense. Ryan White - Ask if hes trying out for QB and said he is trying out everything. Michael Dyer- Very funny guy, gave him a #23 jersey to sign and he said " I aint signing OMAC's Jersey" (in a joking manor) OMac - looks like a miny version of Fanning. Has some arms on him Lee Ziemba- looked like a monster. dudes huge. D. Benton - Had his mind on the girls. Couldnt sign much autographs due to his cast. Kodi Burns - Looked very professional and well presentable. Very nice man.
Guest War Eagle 29
I stopped going to Fan Day when it was moved indoors. The practice fields would be the best place to have it IMHO. There is plenty of room there and a good bit of available parking with BEMC next door. Just my 2 cents worth.

With the new practice facility being built next spring/summer, it would be a good place to have fan day because there would still be a lot of room and it would be semi-air conditioned. That is if its finished by then.
