augolf1716 22,032
I agree oh if Bo could have stayed healthy. Its no telling..... I completely agree with him about Gale Sayers. God he was a highlight film and a heck of a nice guy. I got to play a little golf with him sometimes
Ed_ 3
I agree oh if Bo could have stayed healthy. Its no telling..... I completely agree with him about Gale Sayers. God he was a highlight film and a heck of a nice guy. I got to play a little golf with him sometimes If you're looking strictly at NFL backs then Bo never would have been one of the greats. Now before everyone starts trying to throw things at me through their monitors let me explain. Bo was by far the most athletic back to play the game but his heart never belonged to football. If you remember he originally avoided the NFL draft in favor of a Baseball career even saying in '87 that football would simply remain "a hobby" and by 1991 he had already decided to leave the NFL to focus on baseball. If you want to look at college backs then you can make an argument for him being listed as the all time great but there were just too many phenomenal NFL backs over the years to put him any higher on that list and honestly I also think 6th is pushing it a bit. just my 2 cents
