Michigan? How do they keep getting brought up in the conversation for top recruits, I know they have a ton of tradition and its a good school, but they have more problems with their team then Lindsey Lohan does personal problems.  Who would want to go there? It's so damn cold in the winter hopefully Kris isn't inclined to northern winters as his name might suggest.

I agree with everything you said, but Frost grew up rooting for Michigan.

Even if he did grow up rooting for them, I hope the proximity to home and all the things Auburn has going for it right now will bring him to the Plains.  Michigan just doesn't seem like a very attractive place to me right now, so hopefully Kris will see that as well.  I can't help but feel pretty good about this one.

If Kris takes an official visit to Michigan I hope it is in January when there is 4 ft of snow on the ground and temps are single digits or lower!......just sayin'

He is supposed to be in AU in 2 weeks.

Not that we needed anymore "good reports" from Kris, but this is just about the MOST positive article from the AU standpoint that I've seen thus far!

In it, Frost states that he doesn't have a "leader", technically, but that he is favoring two schools over the rest right now... AU and UM. He says that he and his family plan on taking one of his official visits to Michigan on Oct. 9-10, the weekend Michigan vs Michigan State game. Kris committed to this visit a while back, and, as some here have already alluded to, he grew up a fan of Michigan, and loves their tradition, and atmoshpere.

On the other hand, Auburn will NOT be getting one of Frost's official visits! 

Not to worry though  ... Frost has maintained for awhile that he plans to use his official visits on schools that are farther away, and thus more difficult to travel to. Oh, and as for visiting AU, while there won't be an "official" visit, there will be PLENTY of "unofficial" ones!! That's because Frost plans to attend SEVERAL AU games this fall! 

In fact, Kris says that he wants to try and make it to THREE AU games!! And keep in mind, he's ALREADY visited Auburn twice since the spring.

Per Rivals: "I'm going to try and make a few games like the LSU game (Oct. 23), Georgia game (Nov. 13) and possibly the Clemson game (Sept. 18)," said Frost.

On top of that, he also plans to come down before the season to catch AT LEAST ONE Tiger practice!

"In two or three weeks I'll go down for a practice, see everyone again and get more comfortable there," he said. "Seeing a practice is very important to my family and me. I want to see how they run everything, what it's like. That's really important so we're going to try and get down and see one."

One of the MAIN reasons for Frost's LOVE for AU from the beginning has been his relationship with Coach Tommy Thigpen and the rest of the staff. I referenced it HERE!!

Again per Rivals: "I always stay in touch with Coach 'Thig'," said Frost. "I have to. He's a great coach and a great person, and he's a cool guy, coolest guy in the world."

Well, it might be a different story in a couple of years, after Saban dumps the turds and take the Michigan job.  Rich Rod is done after this season, if he even makes it that long.  His cheating ways at WVU are going to catch up to him, and the Wolverine faithful aren't going to put up with another crappy season, especially after OSU beats the bejeezus out of them again.  Saban has his statue in Turdalooser, so what else is there to prove?  Plus, the sanctions that are coming down on bammer will seal the deal.

Saban won't do a Carrol and go back to the NFL?

Saban isnt leaving Bama. He'll retire there in 10 years or less. There's no reason for him to leave

We are recruiting him as an athlete. I think the coaching staff will handle him similar to the way they have handled Ryan White thus far. I think they will give him a shot at Wide Receiver (his preference), and then if our depth requires him staying he stays. If there is a larger need at linebacker or his obvious knack for linebacker is just too much, then they move him. Good problems to have these days in recruiting. Regardless of whether we put Coe at RB or LB, Frost at WR or LB, or Therezie at RB or S, I'm just glad to have these high caliber guys look our way once again.
