I think I'll enjoy that video when there is one of him in the REAL orange and blue.  Just think, that was 2 years ago!  Can't wait.

Brother Mac,

Cam brings alot to the table as far as size and athletic ability. Cam has a powerful arm that sometimes gets overshadowed by his size.

I get so tired of hearing all the hype that Florida is recieving. Florida basically lost their entire offense in Tebow, yet their unproven QB gets alot of positive media attention  :dunno:

I would rather begin the 2010 season with Cam over the kid at Florida any day of the week. I believe the media(ESPN) in particular will be singing a diffrent tune as it pertains to Cam's abilities.  :we:

His arm strength and running ability is not a question.  I want to see him make all the throws accurately, then I will be convinced.

I'm optimistic but I agree here.

I think Brantley will provide something different at UF but I think he will be very good.

You could put an OSU  uniform on Cam, and couldn't tell the difference between him and Pryor.  Now I'm talking physical appearance, not what's between the ears.

All throws accurately?  If accuracy was a problem I don't think he would be the starting QB.  Expect him to make some bad throws, hopefully working with Gus he has improved his game on all levels.

All the Florida fans that I work with tell me "Yall can have Cam, we would rather have Brantley"

Im not so sure that they really believe that, but it tells me that they understand what they are missing out on.

I think Cam is out to show the world what he can really do. He has heard all of the nay sayers and the doubters... but the Auburn nation believes in him, and that alone will help him accomplish some big things.

More importantly, he has his teammates believing in him as well... it could be a special season.

Not to much longer guys!

There is lots of reason for UF to be optimistic in Brantley.  He will be a good QB for them.

With that said, I'd much rather have Cam, especially in our O.  3 RB's in the backfield at once.

That's because the media a.k.a. ESPN kisses Meyers rear end to no end. Brantley is a different QB than Tebow is. Not as big Tebow. So if he tries that QB sneak crap up the middle like Timmy did he is going to get his head knocked off. I will give you this though Brantley is a better passer in my opinion than Tebow but still doesn't have the experience and athleticism that Cam has.

I could. Cam has about 20 more pounds of muscle than Pryor does.

Other than mop up duty, Brantley doesnt have much playing time.

I agree that ESPN seems to be riding the Meyer and saban train, I guess thats to be expected.

Brantley has seen a lot more duty than most backup QB`s and against better competition than most also. He has completed over 71% of his passes with 10 td`s and 1 int. He is a lot better QB I believe than most of you give him credit for. He had more playing time at Fla. than Cam did when they were on the same team. I`m glad we have Cam but don`t overlook Brantley; he may just surprise you. Also, I doubt if he is asked to do or run the exact same offense that Tebow ran.

The decisions that he makes under pressure will be the true measuring stick of just how good he will be. He really has all of the tools.

I wanted to mention that I saw your grandson on one of the practice videos.  Preston?  I am sure you may have seen it already, but I think it was one of the later videos on al.com

I did see it. He's starting to get a few chances to show what he can do.  We are encourage for him.  Thanks for the reply.

Did he ever start a game? At what point did he enter and was it against 1st team?

Dont get me wrong, I am not debating his playing time v.s. Cam's at Florida. Just saying he is basically untested. Big diffrence when you enter the ball game with a huge lead and when you start.

Its not that I dont think he is good, I just believe he hasnt been called upon to carry the team until now.

Cam should be money in this offense, so long as he gets the timing of the routes and the speed of the SEC down. I think his only downfall could be him thinking that he has to do it all.  Surely having practiced with these guys for 8+ months, he knows all of the weapons that are at his disposal.  I think he is going to draw alot of attention this season from media - kid is a freak athletically and appears to be a good leader.

I think Brantley will be good at UF.  However, is that team capable of living up to expectations?  We all know that they are LOADED with talent, but they lost alot of experienced talent from last year's team.  This will also be the first year that I can remember where Meyer did not have an established, mobile QB in his offense.  Even during the Chris Leak days, he had Timmy to throw to in when they need a QB run or some tough, short yardage.

Cam hasn`t started either except JUCO. Not to argue but Brantley has played when game wasn`t decided; KY. last year when Tebow got hurt to name one. I know we are comparing apples to asparagus in overall talent but I think Brantley is a pretty good QB. I just hope Cam is as good as his hype too. All I`m saying.
