Denson gets a fourth and Niles and blackson may get a fourth star.

Denson will get a fourth, maybe Niles....but they haven't re-evaluated Blackson at all so he'll stay put.

Per Barton Simmons

Predictions?

I see Drew and Blakely getting their 5th stars.

Not sure about Denson.

OT: What are the tattoos of on LO's arms? They look like tiger paw tracks/prints...any relation to AU?

C.J. Uzomah should be given a 4th Star, but not sure it's going to happen.

Niles is a sure 4 Star player.

I've heard from everyone and his brother that Denson will be getting a 4th star...we shall see.

Let me preface this by saying I'm not a big fan of stars. Sure, they look nice for fans and in rankings, but guys have to prove it on the field. Having said that, I would find it really hard for Denson to jump to a 4-star after not being previously ranked. I think the highest ranking he'll get is 3 stars. He could earn that 4th star with his play though.

IIRC LaDarius Owens went from unranked to a 4-star at Rivals last year. Also that DE from Georgia (Norcross? Norwood?) who'd played basketball until his senior year and wound up going to 'Bama.

I think.

Those are both good examples, it happens sometimes.

And WarEagle344, you said you dont like stars and players should prove it on the field. Well they get those stars by earning them on the field, so....

This is just the truth...

Every year, more and more politics play into star ratings.

I'll take a BCS coaches evaluation ANYDAY over an agenda driven for-profit recruiting service OR a reporter trying to make a name for himself.

Analogy: if I have a serious kidney illness, I'm not going to go to the local editor of the "Health" section of a newspaper to get their opinion on it. :)

Just my $0.02 worth.

QFT.  Ask the Miami staff what recruiting using services did for them.

Anyways, they said today that they added two 5 stars.  No idea who they are but fun to speculate.

I want to clarify something I said also.

I have no problem with reporters who understand their role as a reporter and who seek to do their job well.

The issue I have is I've seen those who do the work of a journalist try to transition into becoming an "analyst" without having the qualifications to do so. They are easily recognized and I simply don't put much stock on what they say.

It's fun to do comparisons and talk about players and their abilities on message boards so I'm not inferring anything against anyones opinions here. You get what you pay for. :)

I just wanted you guys to know I wasn't bagging on reporters in general.
