auburn4ever 1,266
I don't think it was smart of Derek Dooley dening Brown's request for a transfer to Kansas State. If it was to another SEC school then I could understand.
norcuron 35
nothing will happen to Kiffin. He took a dump on Tenn and left the mess behind. Dooley cant get a break! Dooley told the boy all he had to do was come in, look him in the eye and ask for a release. You dont TEXT your head coach asking for any favors like that! Its plain rude! Kids and their durn phones these days.
mah0020 11
I don't think Kiffin will get in trouble for what happened at UT. Dooley and crew will have to face the punishment.
paheadley 0
Kiffin will get off scott free. That's what really sucks about the way the NCAA works. People like Kiffin and Carroll can cheat all they want, then leave, and not get any kind of punishment, while the program they leave behind and the next coaching staff gets it all. It goes the same way for the players, like Reggie Bush. He'll never get a single punishment now that he's in the NFL making millions, but USC got the HAMMER because of him. Not a single thing will happen to Kiffin. If the NCAA finds there's been some more rules broken, Tennessee will pay for it.

The USC thing is a little different beast , The AD who hired Kiffin was fired. Now Kiffin is there. He is one of the perpetrators of the NCAA crimes He was the O.C. in 2005. It will catch up with him. Im sure the new AD loves all the wonderful things the whole country is saying about Kiffin all the trash he brought to USC with him. Honest, I think private colleges that play in the NCAA should not be PRIVATE . Kick them out if it stalls and costs millions of dollars and 4-6 yrs to maybe get 1/8 of the truth. Everybody was payed off to keep quiet at USC. How long has this been going on? How many players of USC got payed while our boys were eating ham and cheese sandwiches in their dorm? While others had steak? Bush and Mayo were the only ones to got CAUGHT at USC. Im sure high profile agents sealed the deal with players going into the NFL/NBA and hush was the word. The only reason Bush got caught was that he was dealing with amateurs .

Maybe not, but they certainly have a reason to keep an eye on him from now on.......... It's really not a question of if he will break any kmore rules, it's just a question of when he will be caught for breaking them.

AUFan1 0
I don't get what Dooley is doing. Let the kid go, and move on. There is nothing he is gonna gain by letting this process drag out all the way through an appeals process. Tennessee has enough issues to deal with without being distracted by this. The kid and his recruitment are already under NCAA scrutiny, drive him to the airport, and put him on a plane to Kansas, just get him away from your program Derek. It's just a waste of time and resources, and nothing good will come out of it for TN.
pauldingtiger 0
I think Kiffin will be on a short lease with USC's new AD. Kiffin was a Mike Garret hire and the new Ad doesn't look like he's going to put up with any Shinanigans from this group. If the NCAA comes up with anything I think Tenn is going to get it but I also see it as another strike for Kiffin with his new boss.
