wow that does look cool........but as i've said before, lets fill out what we have now before we add on.  We still got season tickets for sale and if we aren't careful, they will be bought up by a bunch of turds again...because you know, they are showing us whats what by giving us money and all...

If we do expand in the near future I believe we only add one side and I hope its the north endzone bc I want to see the oaks on Donahue and Heisman but cut down  :banghead: anyone else feel that way  :dunno:

Well since you brought it up...

I'm a proponent of waiting until we're selling out every game to expand but it's not up to me.

Jay Jacobs says we were probably going to expand, then the '08 season happened coupled with the economic downturn, not to mention the $92M bball arena. But he says plans are in the works, no rush though.

I like it when the end zones uppers are continuouse.  Or even better there has been somewhat of a tradition of fans standing on the spirals going to the upper deck.  Make a wall of spirals in the gaps.

Jacobs is doing it in the right order - the $92M arena and FINALLY building an indoor practice facility is a huge boost

Am I the only one who thought the upper deck was going to be a 'horseshoe' when Jordan Hare was expanded?

Don`t get real excited about that rendering. I think it is about three years old. Not sure; just saying.

As it's been pointed out, this is just on hold right now.  I know the guy who just finished Bryant-Denny's expansion and will be doing Auburn's practice facility, and this is what he said.  As mentioned earlier, the economy overall is not so great and now is not the time to start something like this, although there are some preliminary plans in place.

The other additions to the stadium like the bricking up the sides and improving the concourse areas with better bathrooms and concessions were part of the first phases of this plan.  Now they're just waiting on the big ones, like you said.  Once demand and the economy both come round again it will happen.

Are people really antsy about expanding the stadium?  I for one don't care if we expand until we sell out every game for a couple years, but I really don't want to drop a lot of money on an expansion just to add some empty seats.

I would rather them drop ticket prices a hair and sell out every game over spending money on an expansion.

I agree

I think it could be coming soon, especially if we win the SEC and almost certainly if we win a NC. We sold out homecoming this year. Clemson, Arkansans, LSU, Georgia, and UTC sold out, and S Car was extremely close (I think a few hundred off) and I believe that was because they returned some of their ticket allotment. At any rate, the student section made up the difference in that game anyway.
