Ranking the SEC's quarterbacks

The biggest peeve I have with these lists is that the criteria changes for every player.  He justifies McElroy as the number 2 guy because you judge quarterbacks by their winning percentage.  Fine.  He should be number 1 then and not behind a guy who was 8-5 last year.

They have Masoli number 3 because he proved he can play in the Pac 10 last year.  Fine, but why have Newton number 7?  Hell, he probably played better defenses last year as Masoli did and he certainly played better defenses than Brantley did last year.

These supposed lists are crap.

I think this list is about as revelant as any other this time of year; i.e., not very revelant.  Based on history, which is the only thing you can base it on.  But, based on history, I will watch Mallett's season with great interest, because if my last name was Bynes, Stevens, Freeman, et.al., I would be foaming at the mouth to get at him.  He couldn't move last year, before the ankle, and he is going to be an Arky QB second, and a NFL prospect first.  He'll put up good numbers, because they're going to come out slinging the ball, but IMO, to the detriment of the team.  BRING THE HEAT, BABY!!!

Low's got a tough job, give him a break. He has to try to make a good list, and every team's fans, besides whoever is ranked number 1, give him a hard time about how terrible he is. He based his list more off production and winning, less off potential. That's why Mallett, McElroy, and Masoli are the top 3. They're proven. Once Cam proves himself, he'll move up the list. I think it's a pretty good list

I dont think Cam should be behind Garcia on any list. Jordan Jefferson sucks too.

Fans of LSU and USCe both think Jefferson and Garcia are gonna have breakout years, just like we think Cam will do great. They all have potential, but Garcia and Jefferson have the experience while Cam doesnt. That's why Low put them ahead

Cam is a 1st yr starter in the SEC.  Until he proves he belongs, he'll be in the bottom half of these lists, and rightly so.
