tbone4jc 2,492
Just got this off his mothers FB page....De Keishia Tunstall "I can't wait to see Shon shine on the AU field. But, with patience comes reward. He's doing really well, but he still has a long road of treatment ahead. He has to remain vigilent in his treatments to ensure that his ...leukemia doesn't come back. It's a huge adjustment for Shon because he really wants to be on the Plains right now. But, that day will come faster than he thinks. Thank you for continuing to pray for him. I am a true believer that all the prayers have brought him this far. See More 12 hours ago · Like" Man, I cannot wait to see this young man play his first game at Jordan-Hare stadium, I can anticipate the excitement, applause, tears of joy etc...It will happen and I will be there no matter what! Mattco 0
It will be a good day on the plains when Shon runs out of the tunnel for the first time. I wonder if it would be legal if the coaches let him come to opening day this year and run out with his recruiting class this year? He helped talk us up to several kids last year and deserves that, if he was up to it.

As for being "legal", I can't imagine there is any rule that prohibits that. There are tons of staff personel and other people that come out with the team, I guess the coaching staff/ admin staff determine that. WDE. As he is not enrolled and as such still a prospective student athlete; the NCAA would probably frown on him running out with the team. But that wouldn`t prohibit being at the game if he is up to it and mixing and mingling with the team and visiting recruits. More than one way to skin that cat. NCAA rules would probably prohibit it as he technically is still a prospective student athlete at this point. Staff and personal are way way different. HardFightingSoldier 0
Hopefully he can come in next year, redshirt, and then become the player we all know he can be.
