Chizik on the team's progress. "I wouldn't say we're behind; I wouldn't say we're ahead. This is probably where we thought we'd be."

Q. Carr and J. Mincy the top 2 at PR.

Zac Etheridge still being held from full contact.

Thats all I got right now.

Cam struggled, throwing a pick in the endzone and also making a bad pitch.

Blake made a long TD catch.  Which is very encouraging to me.  I'm hoping he and a few others step up beside Darvin Adams as reliable possession type receivers.

I am hearing that Trotter had a good day. Not alot of TDs but controlled the offense and didnt make any big mistakes. Cam did throw a pick but that is all i am getting on him. Heard that both of the punters did well.

Foggy this morning in Auburn, AL. I noticed from the computer lab I was in, that they had turned the lights on in the stadium. Kinda had me jacked up!

Anyone have an idea why Barrett didn't get any snaps in the 1st scrimage?

They only play 3 QB's each scrimmage.....the first one Moseley played in

ST, you have any updates for us

Here are the ones I tweeted and facebooked earlier.....

Scrimmage Quick Notes: Trovon Reed had another good day.....McCalebb, Fannin and Washington returned punts....no contact for Etheridge.....Trotter participated while C. Moseley sat out....Byrum doing great with field goals, also kicking off

Scrimmage Notes Part II: Mincy, Morgan, Adams and Carr returned punts....Blake had a long TD catch....Cam struggled a little, also had a INT....more news to come

Scrimmage Notes Part III: The team cut down on penalties and mental mistakes....Goodwin also had a good day.....Chizik said it went as expected for an August scrimmage

Prattville (Ala.) 2012 recruits Justin Shanks and Justin Thomas visited Auburn today and attended the scrimmage. Updates coming later.

Just like Malzahn said....its imperative that Cam gets alot of snaps.  I am fine with him having some struggles, I am sure he and Malzahn will go over these mistakes and learn from them.   Our OC is the best in the business in developing QBs, I trust the Gus will knock off all the rust and we will see a polished QB.

Scrimmage Notes Part IV: The "wildcat" produced some very big plays today....Chizik said, "Good things happened on both sides of the ball.".......the scrimmage ended in a tie at 42 for the offense and 42 for the defense...Mincy and Carr are the main punt returners at this time

What you said.  I'm glad to hear he's struggling a little bit....it ensures he's human after all. Do you guys think Cam is putting too much pressure on himself?

War Eagle all. Some good news from the scrimmage.

Have we heard if we're using a different QB for the Wildcat? And, who it is or who are we looking at for it?

There is an article from one of the beat reporters that said Burns and Reed were running the Wildcat today.

Better for Cam to get intercepted, sacked, etc during preseason vs. regular season. He needs to face just the right amount of adversity, and then build him back up to full speed/confidence for the season kickoff.

I imagine he's probably feeling some pressure from being dubbed "the annointed one" by so many fans, but I also like to look at the glass being half full... maybe he's just feeling a lot of pressure from an improved defense and a secondary who can get in their and snag the ball from a very impressive group of receivers.
