Question about a player

When I went to the a-day game, my football got signed by several players. Only one signed in blue and I can not find him on the roster. The name looks similar to Peter Bale or Bell maybe and he appears to be #59...anybody have any idea?

Could be Patrick Butler (#59) a walkon LB. I believe he's a senior.

That's interesting. Any idea why he was not used last year? Walk on or not, we could have used a body out there to give other guys a rest on D.

I thought this about a lot of our players last year.  When fatigue was stated as the problem I find out that Eltoro Freeman was sitting the bench!  Kind of makes the ole confidence in our DC deflate a bit  :o

I see your point. the only explanation I can come up with is game flow.

sorta like would you rather work a tired nurse that knows the patient and read the chart or call in a new grad. for the rest of the shift?

Trust me , you want the tired nurse.

ya sorta need to get in rotation early in the game in some spots. Ya cant go out "cold" and compete well with those that are "hot".

That just goes to show you the lack of confidence the coaches had in anyone behind the starters. Roof apparently believed that 75% of Bynes or Stevens was better than 100% of the others. As far as walk-ons go, they are walk-ons for a reason.
