lionheartkc 6,150
According to this article, Trovon was at QB, in the Wildcat, on Saturday and blew people's minds... http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2010/08/15/1231171/auburn-football-trovon-reed-amazes.html I'm starting to get a feeling that he's going to be the difference between a really good Auburn team and a team that's going to be special. AUBSC76 0
I love his team-centric attitude. Between the upperclassmen leadership, new talent, and group chemistry, this team has the makings of becoming something special - our coaches have put most (if not all) of the pieces back together to contend for SEC titles in less than 20 months. The lions roar 119
Do I dare say Percy Harvin? That's who he reminded me of when watching his high school highlights.
Holland's Fro 0
Ive always said Trovon would be a weapon in the wildcat. He's so similar to Harvin and DeSean Jackson talent-wise it's scary. He's gonna be special, no doubt about it
StatTiger 3,188
Do I dare say Percy Harvin? That's who he reminded me of when watching his high school highlights. Yep... he is a player that can be utilized in the same role. He can be lined up at WR, RB and QB in the wildcat set. He had a great scrimmage despite not being 100% because oh his ankle. Malzahn stated that Reed reminds him of Felix Jones in his ability to make big plays.

au_weagle 0
I et Malzahn is so happy right now with all of the creative things he can do with the offense. Between Cam, Kodi, Trovon, T-Zac, and Fannin, they open up so many things for Malzahn to work with in his offense.

ausoldiergrad 57
I just hope we can keep him healthy. At his size, that will be the biggest hurdle. He definitely has the talent and attitude.
kkolumbo 8
during A-Day I saw Trovon in Wal-Mart (buying beer before tailgating) and saw he and his friends about to head over to the stadium. Gotta say, couldn't have been a nicer, more polite kid who seemed truly humbled by the fact that my buddy and I knew who he was (I'm only 26 so I wasn't creeping on the kid or anything). Just gave him a War Eagle and got one back.

Guest WarTiger
Reed as the Wildcat is a great idea. For the Wildcat to truly effective it needs someone that can run between the tackles. That is why it works in the NFL with Brown, same with DMC and Ingram. Kodi is not effective running between the tackles, which is why I hope we make this change. Rickys Rants 0
If Trovon is half as good as we think he is, Gus needs to figure out a way to get the ball in his hands and let him make some magic! I know I have been drinking the Koolaide, but I can't wait for September!!!! WDE!

Scrambledog 0
If Reed can stay healthy he is going to be a superstar. I'm talking about Heisman trophy, play on Sunday, game changing superstar!!
shceagle 0
I believe last year's offense was missing this kind of big play ability out of the wild-cat package. I truly now understand why Versitility is the key to what Malzahn looks for in his skill players. Being able to move guys around will force the defense to play zone, do to the confusion. Guys like Mario, trovon, Lutz, Smoove, T-Zac, Kodi, and even Cam can line up in multiple areas of the field. I dont know how you can account for all these guys who can do multiple things on the football field, while defending a No-huddle attack. Trovon will thrive and bring a new dimension to Malzahn's scheme. Having a versitile guy like Trovon on the field will prevent us from substituting during drives and force the opposing defense to account for him where ever he lines up at. It seems that he can be a utility guy in our running game, this will take some pressure off of our RB's. This offense will be special. Is kick off here yet! au_weagle 0
To be honest, I think Reed would be better at Wildca,t but could we really take that away from Kodi. Let him have it one more year, he has more than earned it. Trovon Reed can be worked into the rotation at gunner (the wildcat motion man) with McCalebb. Imagine a jet sweep, and then Reed pulling up to throw deep? Oh I wish I knew what Malzahn has cooked up!
shceagle 0
I hope we dont have a "let him have it, because he's earned it" mentality. I want to see Kodi succeed more than any player on this team, but we need to get our best guy back there. I know he deserves it. But we lacked explosive plays while he was in the gun. It seems Trovon brings a new set of skills to that position. He had a 75-yard TD run out of the wildcat last scimmage, and he wasnt 100%. No doubt he is more explosive than Kodi. It is up to Malzahn to evalute the strenght's of our players, then build his offense around what each player does well.

Holland's Fro 0
Kodi should be the wildcat QB when we get inside the 5. Any other spot on the field, let Trovon take the snap
