rollsroyce5 0
Well, nowhere to go but up! No worries though, as Coach Dye was known to say, the big dogs walk late.

This is it folks - you can recruit for the cupie doll award or recruit for the SEC Championship and the NC. Nothing more needs to be said.

I agree with this also and think 7th or 8th is where the class will be ranked when it's all said and done
Orange and Blue 17211345162833 0
I believe we will get two highly rated RBs, Brandon Fulse, Greg Robinson, Kris Frost, Gabe Wright, Ray Drew, Marcus Roberson and Erique Florence to name a few. This is gonna be another great recruiting class for the Home Team.

shceagle 0
we are looking good! I really hope we fiinish with: 3+ O-Linemen 2 RB's 2-3 DB's 2 stud D-Linemen. It seems those are our biggest needs.
Budapesttiger 2
Fill the needs or try to win the mythical recruiting game? I say both. Finishing so high in the rankings last year created a lot of buzz because we hadn't done it in a while. It also helped get this class on it's way, I think. The underclassmen see the stories and hear "Auburn is on the rise". That helps the coaches do their jobs. The ranking are little more than public relations tool to be used by the staff. While the class rankings are dubious and individual rankings are quite often wrong, they are a pretty good indicator as to how the class as a whole will perform. Finding some diamonds in the rough are great, but not having any top ranked guys will likely not get you any top rankings. This staff is going after the top guys at their positions, who are interested in Auburn and will make it on to campus. Meanwhile they pick up a few guys that don't have stars, but they feel will contribute - on the field as a starter or back up. If some of the guys we feel confident about eventually sign we will meet all our needs - rankings for the PR buzz, great athletes and guys who will definitely contribute - Ray Drew ESPN #3, Quan Bray ESPN #16, G Wright, E Florence, B Fulse, M Blakely. All these guys will likely put us in the top few classes and give us a very good chance to compete with anyone on the field. War Eagle

Droxside 0
#10 is as good as #1 with so many variables that will go into the future college players. Frankly, I do not care where they rank us so long as the players we get continue to be of quality as Chizik and company are doing. When I see players like the Leroy WR and the Sweetwater LB we have committed as 3 stars in most places I know all I need to know about people and publications ranking players... AUfanLCDR 0
I'd rather have a complete team of 3 or 4 stars performing well on the field than a team of 5 stars not performing. It all comes down to field performance not rankings, not scout reports, not sportscasters - yep - it's on the field. Seems the way we've been recruiting latley.
