The longest week

When I was a kid, the longest week of the year always seemed to be the week leading up to Christmas. Not much has changed since then, just the time I perceive for Christmas. This week will seem to span ages but at the end of this week, I get to take the lid of a shiny new toy that is the Auburn Tigers!! Here's to this years present being one of the best ever! Merry Christmas!!! and :wareagle: :wareagle:

Well guys, call me crazy.

This is the time to enjoy College Football the most... just think, one blink of an eye, and its already week 6.

I am looking forward to these next 8 days... Sure its going by slowly, but for some reason Im ok with that.

I want to enjoy the countdown.

I want to enjoy the pre-season talks and all the hype leading up to that final second before the team comes out of the tunnel. (The Eagle, Tigerwalk, Listening to the pre-game shows, Game Day in the morning)

These are the little things that some people take for granted... Im certainly going to enjoy them.

WAR DAMN EAGLE!

its just a game . . .

Yeah, people have been telling me that my whole life... I have yet to understand what they mean. It seems I just get worse and worse every year with my obsession.

This may make you feel a bit better...

Just think how the freshmen feel.   This week will drag by for them...  eps. those that are going to play!

This week will fly by for the coaches.  There is never enough time to Coach 'em up.

;D

...but it's really not.  For me, it's the only time of the year I get to spend time with the best friends I have--the ones I spent pretty much 24 hours a day with over the course of my college years in the fraternity house.  For that 12 week span, I get to spend nearly every weekend with those guys.  Many of them still live near each other and hang out throughout the year, but I don't.  I'm only a couple hours away, so I see them a time or two over the course of the year, but nothing like during the season.

I love the games, but Auburn Football is so much more than just the 3+ hours in Jordan Hare.   :wedance:  That's why my countdown clock is counting down to Friday--in less than 7 days I'll be back on the Plains!
