I love alotta Bands but my all time favorite would have to be RHCP! Best guitarist of my time hands down no contest(well technically not anymore because he left for solo stuff but he was there for the most part) and arguably the best bassist too. They are/were just awesome to me. I hope Frusciante comes back though, he pretty much makes that band as far as the sound goes.

Toby Mac has an awesome drummer!

Muse has some great musicians as well (not my favorite band though).

If you're looking for an amazingly talented group, Journey was one of the most freakishly talented group of musicians ever!

P.S. I can't chose a favorite

Like I said, I'm a huge Chains fan. However, I feel that I am doing a hugh injustice by not mentioning Sevedust. If AIC is 1 then Sevendust is certainly 1a. As they are by far the most underappreciated band of the 90s.

If you haven't heard then please do. In no paticular order of there greatness.....

Praise

Ugly

Enemy (top 5 video of alltime imo)

Thanks golf.  I don't really like country or rap (even then there are exceptions to those rules) but I'll listen to just about anything once.

Nice golf.  I always liked The Cure (though I'm convinced that Robert Smith had no friends ;) )

Even I have my exceptions.  I've taken a shine to the new Eminem album.

Not Afraid off his new album

I'm not a big fan of country but there's something about The Man in Black that draws me in.  He's one of those artists that transcends genre.  I even prefer Cash's cover of Hurt over the NIN original.

Wow very nice 05 on the Cash's cover of Hurt over the NIN original. A dying mans song as onre of the comments said. I've been a Cash fan for 50 years. As for Eminem his has a few songs I like but I'm not a huge fan of his. One of my favorites by JC

Exactly what I mean.  Cash transcends a specific genre.  He's just an American voice.

Cash took Hurt and owned it.  You could hear the years of experience and pain in his voice.

U2 and Weezer are my top 2.  If I go out to three then Cake would be up there.  Those three bands I can put on at any time and enjoy the music.

As for someone mentioning Eminem, while he isn't near in my favorites he might be the best lyricist of the past 10 to 15 years.  He does a very good job writing and that is how people relate to him.

Not bad, but doesn't do anything for me.

Anyway, that's enough weekend screen time for me.  Later golf, good chit-chatting about music with you.  :we:

I guess it is all relatability but I disagree with ya. I haven't had any of the issues he has however so everyone has an opinion.

Alright AUrules, someone is going to have to tell you this....so it might as well be me. If you (a Brit) are going to post on AE (an American board), you are going to have to drop the "u" in words like fovorite. Its favorite, not favourite and color, not colour.      :tease:

I'm just joking!
