DJ_Hatch 0
Well, ya'll can go ahead and give me a hard time temporarily, b/c I'm breaking my OWN "Cardinal Sin" here by starting a NEW thread!! I'll might merge it with the other Blakely thread after a bit... but for now, I'm PRETTY sure that ya'll will forgive me once you read this... Okay, so for those of you who don't know who she is... Laura McKeeman is one of the hottest females on the planet ...oh and besides that she's also one of Scout.com/FoxSports.com's newest writers for their University of Florida affiliate, FightinGators.com (UF's Scout site)... plus she also provides recruiting coverage on the top players in the nation for Scout. She is a Florida grad and a HUGE Gator fan! Check out the rest of Laura's bio HERE! So... why did I just choose to tell you all of this?? Well, I'll tell you why! As I said, Laura covers recruiting, specifically the guys that UF are recruiting, but she also gives updates to other teams Scout.com affiliate sites... such as ITAT (Auburn's Scout site)... on players that the Gators and Tigers are recruiting! One of her hottest topics recently has been Mike Blakely! Ms. McKeeman has followed Blakely's recruitment VERY closely over the past several months, and has gotten pretty close to him in the process. Tonight, she made a trip over to Bradenton, FL to watch Blakely in action against Plant. There Laura witnessed Blakely absolutely DOMINATE the nation's #2 ranked team in almost EVERY way possible! And after the game, she got a chance to speak with him about to get an update on his recruitment... this is what she reported back to everyone... "Just finished talking to Blakely on the field after the game. Let me start by saying this kid is the real deal on and off the field. He kept reporters waiting while he congratulated his teammates and thanked his OLine for protecting him. He's very humble and mature for a kid his age and it's obvious he has huge respect from his teammates. He is loving Auburn! The Tigers have the edge over Florida and South Carolina right now. Blakely mentioned depth chart at AU and the ability to get on the field as a freshman. He loves Chizik and had wonderful things to say about him. He says it's a "blessing" that Auburn is putting so much time into recruiting him. "

ausoldiergrad 57
Thats what I'm talking about! Blakely really impressed me tonight. He reminds me a lot of Carnell Williams. His stature, the way he accelerates around the corner, his combination of great balance and power. Prior to watching that game tonight, I wasn't 100% convinced that he was as good as advertised, but after tonight, I have no doubt that he is one of the absolute top backs in this years class, and would be a great pick up for Auburn if he chooses us. Here's to hoping that he does. Come on home Mike! WDE!
DO4AU2010 0
He made ''Fridays Top Plays'' on Sportscenter. His shake and bake episode came in at number 5 i believe. I wonder how much higher he'll be ranked after its all said and done. They put the big dog on the big stage and got a big show. I wouldnt be suprised if he ends up being a 5*. He deserves it. AUFightingSoldiers 597
That is AMAZING news!! Get em Chizik But on a more important note... you said it is Ms... not Mrs McKeeman right? But for real, thanks for the update DJ. I can literally sleep happier after reading that (yes I AM addicted to everything football)!!!
MATTLUVSAUBURN 0
If Blakely played that good against the number 2 team in the country just imagine what he will do to the rest of the competition. They will have no choice but to give him his 5 th star. He stepped up to the plate and smacked it out of the park . Wilder did not impress me at all. Maybe he just had a bad game on national tv. Bad timing for Wilder
NCTiger 0
DJ Fantastic news there brother. The best part of this to me is is said he LOVES CHIZIK and this is coming from an O player !!! Chizik is so modest and totally fine with taking a back seat to his coaches. Would love to see more of these type comments. War Eagle !
wellsheit 0
Very good news. Dyer, Blakeley, Omac in the backfield? Seriously? As far as Ms. Laura. Gorgeous! I am reminded of what a very wise old man told me once though... "No matter how hot she is, there is some man, somewhere, who is sick and tired of her 'crap'" Insert your own noun for crap. Mattco 0
I watched the first quarter of the Plant/Manatee game before going out last night and here is what I saw from the first quarter: 1. Blakely wasn't terribly impressive but he was doing a great job of turning nothing into something. Before you bash me for saying that, he really wasn't in the first quarter and that was all I saw and he was facing a very good defense. 2. Wilder was far from impressive in the first quarter. On one play he had Blakely wrapped up along with one or two more of his teammates and Blakely managed to drive them back about 3 or 4 yards and made a nothing play into a few yards. Not bashing here, just commenting. If you only saw the 1st quarter, why come on here with an evaluation...sounds like Brodie Croyle math in 2005 -- "Except for the first quarter, we beat them." Should have Tivoed it... Good point mi amigo!
JuniorAU 0
I watched the whole game and only saw 1 maybe 2 , 4/5 star players. Those players being Blakely and Pompei for Manatee.
