Which hypothetical would you prefer?

Obviously both options would be horrible but I was thinking about which of the two I'd rather see happen (if these were the ONLY choices)?

First Alabama goes undefeated until the Iron Bowl and loses to a previously undefeated AU, goes on to win the SECCG and while AU gets an at large BCS bowl invite Bama goes to the NC game again and wins (memories of us being the only team to beat FL a few years back come to mind here.

Second choice, Bama loses 4-5 games during the regular season, doesn't go to the SECCG or play for a BCS bowl but one of the loses was not to AU.

Like I said neither is an appealing choice but it's interesting to think about to see whether your hate for Bama outweighs your love of Auburn, which unfortunately I have a few Auburn friends which that describes pretty accurately.

Personally it would almost kill me to hear the toothless rednecks rubbing in another NC but I would still prefer to see us as a one loss team at the end of the year.

Crap... first option couldn't play out as written.  Sorry.  For arguments sake lets just say that for the first option AU and Bama have comparable seasons, meet up in the Iron Bowl and AU wins but due to a 3 or 4 way tie in the West misses out on the SECCG which Bama goes to, wins and gets to repeat with the National Championship game as well.  So AU wins the iron bowl has an almost perfect season with an at large BCS bowl win but still has to listen to the toothless rednecks bragging about their 300th national championship.

Second option bama has a bad season, doesn't get to go to the SECCG or national championship game but beats Auburn.

I'll take the win over bama everytime...of course being up here in Seattle I don't have to deal with the mullets as much as many of you do.  But I did go through the decade of the 70's living there so I know what it's like...and I'd still take the win even if I was there.
