muxi87 148
The choices are: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, and South Carolina...man, that's 6 teams and we didn't even get listed. That's some disrespect there...let's go out and show em a little something called Auburn Football! I guarantee we don't lose to all 5 teams on that list that we play. And I'm predicting we get a shot at all 6...see you in the SECCG Gaytors!
jvilletiger 0
Who cares? Getting to the SECC (unlike the BCS) is earned on the field. If Auburn does it on Saturdays, it won't matter what uninformed people think.

muxi87 148
It doesn't matter...and that's the beauty of being in the SEC. No matter how low in the rankings you start, if you make it to the SECCG and win it, you're in....well, thanks to '04 AU you're in. It just shows the widely spread view of Auburn this preseason--in the national media you hear of them contending for the BCS Championship and from others that have them unranked. There's no other team in the nation that's being discussed in those same terms. Heck, even look at the rankings. We have as many people ranking us in the top 15 as we do actually leaving us unranked...and despite being in the 21-23 zone, hardly anyone has us ranked between 18-25. It's actually quite fun! Can't wait to settle all this on the field starting Saturday!
waregl87 0
I like what the second poster said. We control our own destiny. Win and we're in. Plain and simple. I will say this though: Where in the world is the thinking coming from that S. Car. is going to be any good this year? I think it's a complete joke. How many consecutive years now have we been saying this year could be a breakout year for S. Car.? As weird as it sounds to say, Carolina won't be relevant again as long as Spurrier is the head coach. The guy is too stubborn to try to have a balanced offensive attack, which is exactly what you need to be successful in the SEC. All he wants to do is air it out w/ a mediocre QB in Stephen Garcia. That brings me to my next point. Why do ppl think Garcia is going to be good when he can't even beat out a TRUE FROSH for the starting job?!? I can obviously see where ppl think Bama and Florida could win the SEC. I can even see where ppl would think LSU, Arkansas or Georgia could sneak up and win the conference. But SOUTH CAROLINA?!? Haha...I have contain myself to keep from bursting out in belly-aching laughter.

An SEC champ with 2 or 3 losses in all likelihood will not go to the BCS title game. Plain and simple.
