Well I think he still deserves to keep the Wildcat position, even if we have Trovon. He's more than earned it. And yes, I think he will become a reliable possession reciever on some tough downs.

The coaches will put on the field who they believe gives AU the best chance to win.  If Trovon is more explosive,  then he will be wildcat.

He could be the "jet" guy with McCalebb. The pair of them won't be able to stay healthy all season, as small as they are. Look at McCalebb, he had a small ankle injury that slowed him down just a shade and he wasnt the same.

Have you guys not been reading all fall camp from coaches and players that Kodi was constantly making plays and getting the offense started?  I think he'll definitely be a big playmaker and a steady receiver this year.

A high ankle sprain is not a small sprain it is a sprain and tearing of the ligament that joins your tibia (shin bone) and fibula together.  A sprain of the Syndesmotic ligament can often require surgery.  Hard to run fast when your lower leg bones are not attached securely to one another.

Hey I hope I'm wrong, but that's just what I think. I really hope he has a stellar season, mainly because he sure as hell deserves it.

In response to McCalebb, 3rdgen's right. I'm positive he knows more about this than I do, but here goes. There are two common type of ankle sprains, but they are very different. There's your typical ankle sprain, which involves the tearing/stretching of a ligament that's where you would think an ankle sprain would be (I don't know it's exact name but I've torn mine more than I want to remember). This kind is usually not very serious and heals pretty quickly and a player can typicalls play on one without losing much. Then there's the high ankle sprain, which is what McCalebb had. As 3rdgen said it involve the ligament that joins the tibia and fibula. It takes much much longer to heal and even longer to get to 100%. And if you play through it its gonna take even longer to heal. That's why McCalebb lost so much after that

When Kodi becomes this years breakout player, I'll be sure to dig up that old thread and remind everyone how right I was  ;). Seriously though, I think him having more than a full year as a true wideout will pay hugh dividends this year. And if he is judged by Julie-0 Jones standards (i.e blocking ability) he will be a lock for the SEC 1st team.

*Note the last statement was presented as a shot at Julie-0*

With that said, Kodi is an excellent blocker on the edge and I really do believe he will suprise a lot of folks with his playmaking ability at WR this year. Big year for Kodi Burns.
