I believe the increase in numbers in Tuscaloosa, is based on the number of cows on uat's majorette and cheerleader lines.  Just a guess  ;)

We are a "cow college" and if it weren't for our Agricultural school then the state would pretty much starve (maybe not starve but it wouldn't be near as efficient with the local products that are grown). So basically, Auburn puts meat on the table for people. No problem with Agriculture.

You are damn right!!  All the other side can do is put Lawyers in the courtroom to take away our land!!( Sorry, can't believe I said that)

Westie sort of hinted at it.

We are nicknames the "Cow College" Because  API (Auburn) was and still is an Agriculture School.

But let's not forget that the College of Agriculture is one of but many fine Colleges at our University.  The building science and architecture programs are top 5 programs in the country.  The College of Engineering was the first in the country to offer a degree in Wireless Engineering and is among the few to offer a Master's degree in Software Engineering.  And these are just off the top of my head.  Auburn is great for many things and anyone who would tell you otherwise is ill-informed.

But for what it's worth, even the Bahr regretted saying the comment in question.  I think it's funny how much it's brought up in spite of this fact.
