bootskii 258
Grades by position against Ark. St. QB - A+ I love Cam Newton! RB - B- Dyer is going to be special WR – A The Q man was on fire tonight O-Line – A Veteran O -line and it shows. Cam had ample time. D-Line – B Good Run D and saw some penetration. LB – C Bates looking good at the transition to LB DB- D Didn't like the cushion but this is coaching mistake not players Special Teams – A- WAY BETTER than last year. This is just my opinion
triangletiger 1,599
I'm happy with the game, lots of players got some good experience. We still need to work on fixing the penalties and turnovers, though.
aujess07 4
^^Agreed^^ Disappointed in the fumbles by Washington and Fannin. But overall, my grades would be the same. I can't stand the cushion our corners gave their receivers.

waregl87 0
^^Agreed^^ Disappointed in the fumbles by Washington and Fannin. But overall, my grades would be the same. I can't stand the cushion our corners gave their receivers. And people wonder why it's said that Fannin has a fumbling problem. This may not be that bold of a prediction, but Dyer will be our starter by Week 3. Calling it now. Dude is gonna be a stud. I like O-Mac, but he really just seems to be a specialty back. He also seems hesitant sometimes. Like he's always looking out for the guy that's gonna hit him. Just my opinion. But Dyer was the most impressive RB tonight by a wide margin. AU4EVER1345162791 0
I agree. Our secondary did not impress me at all. Played way too soft most of the game. Overall, I liked what I saw though. Hope we got a lot of our jitters out, and will settle down a little for Mississippi State. WAR EAGLE!!!!
AUIH1 1,515
Offense (A-) Still too many costly penalties and inconsistent in the redzone for an A Defense (D-) Same as 2009. We have a coaching deficiency on this side of the ball on several levels Special Teams (A) Pleasantly surprised - Boulware gets the attaboy award. The level of play tonight will get us beat by two touchdowns against Miss State on Thurs. Hopefully we will improve a bunch. wde
triangletiger 1,599
I was surprised that McCalebb seemed to be the feature RB early. Fannin was used as a fake early, but O-Mac was getting fed the ball. I'm not sure what to make of that.
bwillaub 0
Defense overall grade: C- Secondary received my lowest grade: D- It better get better or it's gonna be another long, scary season. It takes defense to win in the SEC. Cam was great, Dyer looked very good, OMAC was hesitant, Fannin looked good catching the ball, Carr had a great night, Adams didn't look like the same Adams from last year, O-Line was awesome. It was a WIN. 52 pts was a good showing by the O, but the 26 doesn't say much for the D. Short week to get better and prepare for the Dawgs. Connecticut Tiger 0
Offense = A (even one penalty is too much) Defense = C- (Run =B, Pass = D-) Special Teams = A overall (Field Goals = A+, Punting = A, Punt Return = B, Kick Off Return = B- , fumbles can't happen, Kick Offs = A)
WarEagle344 0
Tackling was MUCH improved and I liked how Zac and Savage were all over the field tonight but I agree our coverage was very soft. Defense- C 600 yards of total offense aint bad at all. I loved Cam and Dyer was very impressive tonight. Carr also impressed me the way he played tonight. Offense- A Sanders was all over the field on those kickoffs and Demond and Carr did very well returning. The only reason this isnt a higher grade was the fumble by Demond on the kickoff. Special Teams- A- The team played well overall and the defense tightened their grip with their backs against the wall in the second half. I was very impressed with the offense and special teams and the tackling was greatly improved on defense. OVERALL-B+
NCTiger 0
Grades by position against Ark. St. QB - A+ Cam Newton was great, but SEC will be much tougher. Great leadership and poise. RB - C + First game but this is ARK ST, not and SEC or strong non-conference opponent . Dyer looked good and after Mario's fumble my gut tells me we will need to reply on Dyer sooner and more often then planned. Sounds funny, but I wonder if Mario's build has anything to do with fumbles when he is popped. He has zero body fat and just a little cushion helps hanging on to the the ball when hit very hard. WR – B - Only because not enough WRs made playstonight. Adams was defended well, but he was last year. T-Zach got nothing. O-Line – C + Pass bocking was great, but we could not blow ARK St off to run the ball with any consistency. What happens next week ? D-Line – C+ Great on some plays and no pressure on QB on others. LB – C + I think the LBs did enough tonight. Bates seemed to be everywhere, but no 2009 effort by others. DB- D Do not like the prevent-a-win D. Special Teams – B- Good improvement, but Washington's fumble helps earn us a loss against a tough SEC opponent. Ted Roof had such good D's at Ga-Tech. I know we have some new guys playing, but I just expected more. Savage was a stud and Zach did well, but after that none of the other veterans really stuck out. War Eagle !
