Question for those who taped the game

At the end of the 1st half how long from the time fannin was down till the official set the ball ready for play.  Seemed like we had like 10 secs when fannin was tackled and that the official stood with the ball in his hand for 6-8 seconds and did not mark the ball for play.

It seemed that way to me too, but I didn't record the game.  I think that is what CGC must have been talking to the official about before he ran off the field.  To his credit, however, he had the  composure to not even mention it when interviewed on camera at the end of the half.  We have a real class-act here, folks.

I saw the ref dilly dally around in getting the ball ready for play.  There is no reason why it should take 8-10 seconds to get the ball ready for play.  I think that is what CGC was complaining about at the end of the half.  I know the crowd was very vocal about it.

I DVRd it last night (as I was in attendance).  Anyway, when Fanin was tackled and the whistle blew, there were 12 secs.  As the previous poster stated there were 8 secs at the time the umpire was standing over the ball as it lay ready for play.  He then picked it up and held it for the last 3-4 secs of the half.  All night long before this occurred, he would put the ball down, whistle blew and he hardly ever stood over the ball after it was placed on the ground.  He may have "hovered" over it 1 sec but that was minimal - until the end of the half when his crap occurred.

The problem I see with SEC officiating is none of them are accountable, including rogers redding in the SEC bammerham office.  I know what we all have seen through the years - not only in our games, but other games as well.  SEC officiating is a joke at best.  I am not knocking all of the members who do high school officiating, college officiating, etc, at all.  I fully understand its a tough job, but when you take the common sense things and alter the outcomes, then an issue occurs and makes you suspect in what you are doing (ie, LSU-bumma '09, LSU-UGA '09, UF-Arky '09, AU-bumma '09, LSU-UNC '10 and some of the calls made last night).

It makes you look inept at what you are doing, and is a majority of the reason why other big-name conferences don't want their teams playing the SEC teams.  Occasionally you get a few but look at the pay outs when this occurs and look who officiates.  Ever wonder why in the UGA-Ga Tech games, ACC officials do the games in Athens and SEC in Atlanta?

Okay, off my soap box, back to watching the replay.

The ref gets the ball ready, then pulls it back up, and motions the line to move back. I was very ill seeing this, and it gets worse everytime I repplay it. I honestly think he done it on purpose because our line was rushing him on the play. Anyone else with it on dvr, reply it an d watch the ref., does it not look like he pulled the ball up and motion the line back out of anger? I wish Pugh would have headbutted that prick.
