NCTiger 0
WEST Turds - Team to beat, was ready to play and a rebuilt D dominated their cupcake. Their O will be better than 2009. Auburn - Big play O potential. Can we smashmouth drive the ball if necessary ? D is better, but not SECC worthy yet LSU - Mismanaged talent. EAST Georgia - They looked more like week #3, not week #1. QB was solid for a freshman. So. Carolina - They seemed to have a balanced team. D still looks very strong and O has more play makers. Florida - Talent alone gives them a chance, but we would have beat them yesterday. Again, I realize it is only week #1 but, just my observations and opinions from what I witnessed this weekend. We need to get the penalties and turnovers under control yesterday. War Eagle !
Guest War Eagle 29
I think it is way to early to make a call about most SEC teams, especially bammer. I think my son's high school team could have beaten San Jose State!
NCTiger 0
I made it clear it is only week #1. Ark St may be the best or second best opponent any SEC team played this week. If true, maybe other SEC Ds that dominated their opponents yesterday would have given up double digit points to Ark St as well. I hope Ark St has a good season as it will only make our D and team look better. Have not seen stats on penalties and turnovers our SEC competition had yet so can't compare those numbers yet. Glad we won and glad several new kids got some action. War Eagle !

USC defense up more yards than our supposedly horrible defense to a team that was playing not nearly as hard as Arky st.
RockyMtnTiger 0
Can Auburn play smashmouth O? absolutely Dyer gained most of his yards in between the tackles.
Rickys Rants 0
Can Auburn play smashmouth O? absolutely Dyer gained most of his yards in between the tackles. Dyer was a pleasant surprise, but Fanin was a disappointment - both of his big plays were receptions in space. Omac looked pretty good, but he did not seem as fast as he was last season. Sign that we are getting a little spoiled with our offense complaining about a guy who gets two tds just because he did run over the other team's entire defense to get it.
