Where did the H-back/TE go

Last year we used Eric Smith a lot yet this year you RARELY see Eric contributing and NEVER see Lutz.  We are not even trying to use all the weapons on our O.  We are running the same half dozen plays 90% of the time.

we threw to smith 3 times and cam missed him twice.  Maybe he gets that fixed this week.  But I have no idea why lutz and kitchens have not been running drags across the middle.

Most of the time Lutz isn't even out there, even when he is I doubt that Newton is even giving him a look. He usually locks on to one guy and forces it, if he even throws it at all. It's frustrating that we are only utilizing half of our play makers. If I was a skill position guy this offense wouldn't enthuse me very much.

I have thought the same thing.  It seems that the H-back has been ignored in this offense while it was a major weopon last year.  It seems as if though the last two games we snap the ball to Cam and then have no plan, he just tries to improvise out on the field.  In all honesty people we have a long way to go.  Cam is a physical freak but he stares his recievers down and I am questioning some of the decision making out on the field.  I realize this was really his third game as a starting QB in the SEC but he needs to grow up fast if we want to continue winning.  We need to get ALL our playmakers involved. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Lutzenkirchen is a phenomenal pass-catching machine, or was, in High School. I'd hate to think we actually took a player and made him go backwards on a useful skill he had coming into the program.

Lutz is a non-factor, at least so far. Strange too, I figured he was perfect for CGM offense. Don't know what it is but it must be something or we'd be trying to at least go to him. Maybe he will factor in later. WDE.

Malzhan, if I am correct, looks at the defense and then calls the play. If the play doesn't work, what does that say?

You can't put it all on Gus. Gus makes the play call, but then Cam has to make the right decisions. The last drive, in the fourth quarter, on third and two where he kept it, he had a "pitch man" in the open field. Hopefully Cam will watch film and make better decisions in the future.
