help me understand why when we are on offense there is no room to run between the tackles. we have a senior laden oline that is supposed to be a strength. only cam can get positive yds up the middle. yet clemson on the sprint hand offs or delayed handoffs they sliced us up most of the game. is our dline taking themselves out of the play in attempt to get up field. they actually ran well on the outside too. we did get some good stops but they were in a rythem most of the game. and when we were successful it was usually big plays, few good drives. the only way for us to be successful is to take chances, which is why we sat on it the last possesion of the 4rth(i agreed with the stragety) it seems if we threw some quick slants to the wrs it would back the lbs up and loosen the running game. i dont think we have thrown a quick route yet. i am not an expert just a confused fan. by the way we won and more of the game stats were in our favor than i thought would be. time of possesion is way out of kilter. i take it as a positive that we can perform so badly or seem to and still win. we were bailed out with dropped balls by opponents the last 2 games. that is not gonna keep happening. just imagine what the clemson fans are talking about today, they feel like they out performed us im sure.

I will agree with you on the OLine not sure why we can't get an experienced line making better holes, but Clemson did not out play us or perform us the whole game, just the first half and if Cam throws the ball a little higher its another TD not an INT, etc. Ifs, buts and could haves apply to both teams playing so when the score says your team won at the end is a good thing. I really want that Oline to play the way they did in the second half the whole game. I don't review game film enough to provide an intelligent thought though. Good questions.

Our D line was caught in some stunts that actually took themselves out of the play. There were a couple of times when they ran a delay draw that we didn't have anyone left in the middle and they took advantage of it. it's an inherent danger with aggressive line play. Sometimes you move yourself out of position, like those damned screen plays that ate us up in the middle.

I was saying the same thing last night. Last season we ran the ball between the tackles and this season we have gone back to the Franklin speed sweep. You can't run that speed sweep against SEC defenses because of the speed on the edges. The best way to counter speed is to attack the middle and it will tire a defense out really quickly.

I agree we need to open up that inside running game early to take advantage late in the game when they are tired.
