AuburnHardware 1
http://deadspin.com/...-fir-1674584987 please quote the article Rolando McClain's Mansion Burns Down In "Suspicious" Fire Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain's Alabama home burned to the ground last night, and investigators would love to find out more about a car seen speeding from the scene. McClain's offseason home, the mansion went up in flames about 6 p.m. yesterday. One witness reported hearing an explosion and seeing a car racing away from the house minutes before the conflagration. Detectives and fire marshals were combing the wreckage today, and were planning to bring in a dog to detect the possible use of an accelerant. "Anytime you have a vacant house go up, particularly one of that value, you have to consider it suspicious," [Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Lt. Andy Norris] said. "Every house in that neighborhood is probably over $1 million." The house, a six-bedroom, five-bath number on Lake Tuscaloosa, had been listed for sale on multiple real estate websites with an asking price of $1.5 million. McClain, who attended the nearby University of Alabama, abruptly retired from the NFL last year at the age of 24 after a string of arrests. But he rejoined the Cowboys this season, and has been something of a quiet revelation on that Dallas defense. [Associated Press]

AURandy56 148
It might have been the young man that Rolando and his teammate thugs beat up while he was a student at UA. Remember that situation that was kept quiet until after McLain turned pro?
tiger88 934
If it's been on the market a while and not selling, anyone burning it down is doing him a favor.
Dual-Threat Rigby 8,673
Definitely sounds suspicious that it hadn't been selling at all, and in a great neighborhood, it specifically gets burned down, and then you got a car speeding away. tiger88 934
Who cares? It's an interesting story to some, which would seem evident by the participation in the thread. So, I would say those who have participated "cared" enough to comment, and surely many others browsed the topic out of interest or "caring". Any other well thought out questions? The people who live nearby care too. Any large fire can can harm people, damage nearby homes and other property. If it is an random act of arson, having a nut in the area is scary
