realitycheck 0 Posted November 10, 2012 Share Posted November 10, 2012 Don't know how many of you remember the movie Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood. I can't help but notice the similarities between this movie and the current AU football team. We have a bunch of talented, but extremely undisciplined "warriors"; the nice but ineffective commanding officer (Jacobs); and the rival officer (Saban) that views the recon platoon as merely pawns to use as practice for his elite unit. What we need is a Gunnery Sergeant Highway to instill some old school discipline the hard way. Someone like a Bo Pelini or a Muschamp come to mind. Of course Pelini would not leave Nebraska for Auburn and we screwed up the Muschamp hire a few years ago (thanks JJ). Who else could you guys think of that can instill that "hard-a$$" mentality?
