It's way early in year two It's one game. Step back from the ledge. It is way more than just one game ....but you are right , he has to figure out how to be a head coach . It would be nice to have someone who would actually done the job before. He has a way to go with game management.

Outside of a few cases it seems like Jacobs has continuously taken risks with guys who haven't proved much. We blew several close games last year and are doing the same this year. He is called a pitching "guru" yet Keegan Thompson and Lipscomb, two of our top 3 pitchers, were developed by the old staff. He's done a nice job with Casey Mize but we won't go anywhere until our bullpen gets way better

"He" is a great recruiter, a very good pitching coach and a tremendous human being. If given the time, he will likely be an elite level head coach. Those kind of guys, once established, are heard to get and in most cases will not come to Auburn (e.g. Tim Corbin). He's got all the attributes, just gotta' get some on the job training. I agree with the items marked...but just don't think he's the guy...but he deserves time to show what he can do though I don't have to like what I see....it's been painful to watch his teams ...last year and this year too. Hope you are right. We need to stop the musical chairs in all sports.
