  1. I think NIL here is one of the problems here. See, there’s a limited number of dollars. So when let’s say I give $10,000 to OTV, I want it to go to football. Then they ask me for $10K more, and I put it to basketball. Then they want some for baseball, and I’m like, no thanks…_the turnip is dry. So while the rest of the league can supplement a scholarship, Auburn is left with tier two guys in baseball. So we look like a tier two team. It’s only going to get worse imo.

the fact of the matter is, we expected much better pitching than what we got. Unlike a professional league, we can’t just go get somebody from the minors to promote. When the backups are performing poorly, there’s just not much left to do. When we miss, we miss like center of the plate. It just isn’t our year.

  2. What I get ticked about is when people invest tons of money either personally or by a business into NIL, and the freakin University uses a competitive business in front of your face. I mean, why would we still be giving this money to these kids? We get NO return on investment.

the kids will eventually be employees of the university. Has to move to that to make it make sense.

There's a reasonable argument to be had about how much the spring game shows. But typically you put your returning QB1 in a position to succeed. So he looks better than he is more often that worse than he is. He should be very comfortable in a scrimmage where he can't get hit.

Thorne is still holding the ball too long, he's still inaccurate (even throwing to the flat), still has no zip on the ball, still makes questionable decisions. He didn't throw one decent deep ball. His TD pass to Coleman was a bad pass that should have been intercepted.

I truly hope Thorne improves this season, but it's foolish to expect it.

Here's every Thorne dropback from the spring game. Which throw excites you?

    Spot on.

I’m in the “prove it” era with PT.  I’m not going to be gaslit to think that spring performance was any good. We should not be struggling to move the ball in a freakin spring game.

  4. ^Not trying to overreact but our O is still just so boring and stagnant. This is without a top tier D line running after it.

i just don’t see us doing a whole lot this year. Got to keep recruiting.

Honest question for the "patience" crowd. Which certainly has some validity and I'm not trying to dismiss that.

What do you need to see from Freeze, as far as record, in seasons 2 and seasons 3?

Season 2 record wise not as important to me as how our team builds. Need to stack recruiting classes!!!! Year 3, 9 wins or bust.

  6. Whenever we cut it to 5, we just couldn’t make a stop.
Uk won this game with intentional fouls, Atrocious officiating, and us shooting freaking 25%.

it’s all meaningless without JWil. Pitiful. I’m so angry. Please help me.

I had other obligations early so I watched the game on delay. But I saw the entire game.

Seems like Bama took far fewer shots from 3 than usual. They were driving to the basket a lot more than I expected, where Auburn bigs were dominant.

What was that all about. Usually Bama is pumping 3s. Was the Auburn perimeter defense really all that good?

Of course, I was really excitd for Auburn beating Bama to a pulp inside.

I thought this was the best coached game of the year by Bruce et al.

yes, we defended the perimeter, didn’t double team the guards when they dove inside just to dish it off for a perimeter 3, and didn’t turn the ball over. What’s more, the insane number of foul calls rally kept bama from getting into rhythm in my opinion…which is because we were forcing them inside and our bigs just manhandled their little Oates-munchers all night long. Oates can go make himself a bowl of yogurt to cure that infection of his.
