Don’t even know where to start with this.  Obviously you don’t follow football.  Bama had used two timeouts, so the play clock wasn’t running, just snap clock.   Didn’t matter what it said as long as you snap the ball before it gets to zero.  They were able to save a timeout for 3rd down because Tank went out of bounds

This was on the drive before they took the timeouts I think. Obviously I know the play clock doesn’t run after a timeout. I was at the game so it was pretty chaotic. And we definitely helped them by throwing it with an injured qb.

  2. The glaring problem at the end of the game was snapping the ball with 18 seconds on the play clock twice! And throwing the ball when Finley obviously couldn’t push off and stopping the clock. Without this bama has about 40-45 seconds less at the end of the game. Would have made a big difference• I really feel for the players- they gave it there all.

Tom Ritter had our number at JH in 2015.

Yes that was the game where the holding was so blatant and Muschamp got flagged after saying “ we just want a fair  game” among other things. The help from the refs for bammer in the Iron Bowl goes all the way to the call on Gossom being out of bounds to take away our touchdown.

  4. Well if our head coach doesn’t show any emotion during the game on Saturday there is something seriously wrong with him. Generally when there is this much of a difference in the two teams Auburn will hang with them for a half- even did that during the Barfield years. Surely we can manage that. 14-7 at half and 42-7 final. This is the least excited I have ever been for the Iron Bowl but I will be there cheering them on. I know it was time to move on from Gus but we would at least have a chance in  this game if he were still our coach. He had Saban’s number at Jordan Hare except for 2015.

  5. Several posters early on said the record was not important but if there was improvement as the season went on and it was important how we lost games. Well it cannot be overstated how bad the loss was on Saturday. It is one thing to lose to a superior team- another thing entirely to lose to Ms State in that way at home. I lay this loss solely on the coaches- from the failure to adjust defensively the second half, the stupid fake punt, the stupid 2 point conversion( we should have made it a one score game and kicked it deep and tried to get a stop-coaching 101) which led to the stupid onside kick where we lost our kicker. It is just very alarming to me that the coaching staff made all of these decisions in one half of football. I lived through the Barfield years and hope we are not headed in that direction but I have my doubts. But as long as Harsin is the coach I will support him and the team and will be there for the Iron Bowl cheering them on.

He also couldn't move very well, had obvious pain, went inside the medical tent twice but Bobo still called TWO rollouts in the following quarters. After the first one even the announcers made mention that Bo couldn't move well enough on the rollout.

This! Surely there is some communication between Bobo and the sidelines for him to know that rollouts with Bo were not good play calls! We could see that from the stands!

I respectfully disagree. Running it up the middle 17 times isn’t in the Auburn records book but this 25 point debacle is. It’s crazy all these excuses .  u shouldn’t lose a 25 point lead to them point blank period. Mississippi State wasn’t even ranked and u at home.

So there's a possibility that Nix played a quarter and a half of football, in a close game, on a broken ankle and the team doctors, the coaches, and other players didn't realize/trotted him out anyway?

I hope this rumor isn't true.

He was in the tent twice- seems like they could have figured it out!  If true that is disturbing

  9. Out of likes but I agree- I was at the game and a lot of students as well as others left early- I think the defense in particular could have used the energy from a full stadium. A perfect day for football-I felt bad for the team and this was before state took the lead.

  10. I have been to 100’s of Auburn games and I think this may be the worst- especially at home- I put this total collapse on the coaches- no halftime adjustments- stupid play calls like the onside kick and running up the middle on 1st and 2nd down in the 3rd quarter and having to try to throw on 3rd and long. And then no pressure on the qb and staying in a soft zone while you are getting picked apart. It was awful all around from a coaching standpoint.

  11. There are some paper tickets around campus. My understanding is that the ticket office  printed the tickets if you refused the digital tickets.  There are still some scalpers but not nearly as many as in the past. Very few regular people selling tickets around the stadium. I personally don’t care for the digital tickets and I have heard the same from several season ticket holders.
