  1. When I played travelball at 12 years old, I remember Bryce coming to the Huntsville Sports Plex. He was already known as the best in the country and my team played him... In that weekend, Bryce went 11-12 with 10 homeruns and a double.
  2. Sooooo.... Bryce Harper got his first hit for the Nat's today.
  3. Man yeah Can't wait for Opening Day... Any prediction on who Fredi will start? I'm gonna have to go with D-Lowe. He's started the past two Opening Day's for us and I don't see this one being any different.
  4. Just watched that like 10 times in a row. Never gets old.
  5. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/spring2011/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=6166594 ^^ Must Read ^^ for all Braves fans
  6. I have been. But yeah MLB season needs to start immediately
  7. I'm getting excited! Season starts really soon guys
  8. He said he lost 30 and Cashman thought it was about 25 or so. How CC lost it? He stopped eating Cap'n Crunch every morning. He stated he ate that stuff by the box
  9. That'd be perfect. But very unlikely I really hope NY can make one more legit run into the playoffs. This lineup still has a ton of talent. CC Sabathia is going to be outstanding this year.
  10. http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110217&content_id=16664036&vkey=news_atl&c_id=atl Heyward's on the road to dominance.
  11. Since it hasn't been posted: Eric Chavez signed a minor league deal with Yanks and received an invite to spring training. Should be interesting to see if he earns a spot on the MLB roster. http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php/126367-Eric-Chavez-signs-with-NY-Yankees P.S. ^^ Great NYY forum ^^
  12. Yeah not saying its Frank Wren's fault at all. But it pains me seeing these other franchises spending money that the Braves should be able to spend as well. Atlanta has an absolutely massive following. Wren does an alright job for the limited budget that he's on. Pretty sure he doesn't spend all the money that he could. Probably a smart move in the long run though. At least we produce pretty good talent in our farm system
  13. It's gonna be interesting. I have a friend who was invited to a scouts camp at Turner Field two weekends ago and said he wasn't very impressed with the Braves Front Office. He got the impression that they (Frank Wren in particular) were cheap and weren't in it to win championships. Ever since Ted Turner left, I've definitely felt this vibe. :'(
  14. Can I get a Go Steelers? I love the hard-nose ground and pound football.
  15. With the news of Ed Dyas passing today, I started to think about this thread and wondered if any of ya'll knew him or had any stories on him... I haven't read the whole thread but have read parts and haven't seen his name.
  16. Game over. Steelers v Packers
  17. This game is getting ugly and Sanchez just got hurt.
  18. This makes me mad. Unfreakingbelievable. Who in Hades gives up signing with THE Yankees who offered more money and more years to sign with the Phillies? If the Braves wanna challenge this rotation, we better make a huge move before the season starts and keep our players healthy.
  19. I'm surprised with them not offering to D-Lee but not surprised about them not offering to Glaus and Hinske.
  20. Kimbrel is your hometown boy right? Its good to see players from our state make it to the show.Kimbrel played college ball the same place I did Wallace State (Hanceville) I hope he gets the closer's spot.If he can get a little better control,he will be an all-star type closer, his stuff is sick. Yeah he's the hometown hero that nobody knows about. I was one of the few that recognized him when he walked up. my friend caught him at wallace for his tryout. he said he couldnt catch the ball haha I wonder what year Craig was that year. Until he hurt his ankle, he was only throwing high 80's low 90's. Then he focused on his mechanics when he was hurt and could only throw from his knees and that built up his core strength and basically "taught" him how to throw hard.
