Ain't that the truth. I never in a million years thought we would be in this shape. All I can do is keep hoping things will get better.

At least hunting season is upon us, so I've got that going for me.

Everything is about the same around these parts. Yungins are growing, (Mo's in kindergarten this year), and the ol' lady and I are staying busy as usual. Just figured I'd drop in and see how everyone was holding up, considering.

You did indeed. We are all doing well. Mo started kindergarten Monday. (She's growing up so fast.) Emma is starting to stand up, and will be walking before long. We bought a house the end of July, and are still getting settled in. We are almost there. I'm still working down in Marianna, and enjoying that challenge very much.

Staying in the area, how about Smokey Mountain Rain by Ronnie Milsap.

We went and saw him at Victoryland a few years ago when he played there. (Too bad he didn't see us.)  One of the best shows I've been to.

Didn't watch the vid, but if it is her promo vid of that song. She'll remove you from your couch while blowing your hair back. She is a highly respected studio and gospel singer. She is nobody's fool. She's done some serious work.

I actually saw him a few weeks ago.  He's working at Winn-Dixie, pushing carts.  62--It'll be rough, but you gotta take the good with the bad.

Which one and what does he look like? Oh, and what’s his name? I want to be sure to never go there or bump into him. 

There's only one in Marianna.  Look for the chunky kid with curly hair, pushing the carts very slowly.  Avoid him at all cost unless you plan on doing some baking.  Whippersnappers like that are a menace.

You're right about the turnover statement.  My parts guy has been there for almost 5 years. He's actually the one that hired me, so firing him is gonna be hard.  We've got a new GM who doesn't like his attitude (rightfully so), and told me that he must go.  The service writer is a dumb heifer that was hired while I was in the hospital with my back, by our sales manager who was trying to help me.  She has done NOTHING but create more work for me.  I will be more than happy to show her the door.

     Mo and Em are doing well.  Em looks just like Mo did when she was a baby and actually has a slightly more pleasing demeanor.  Mo is excited about the move and has already made me a list of things/theme she wants in her new bedroom.  We let her go house looking with us when we went and she loved this house, so of course she thinks picking this one was her decision.  It's a huge deal for her.

Hey 29, how ya been doin?

We've been doing well.  Busy at work.  Work has been hectic.  I've been doing non-stop interviews the last two weeks because I have to fire my parts guy and my service writer this week.  Add that to my normal work, plus trying to get this house deal done, and things have been mighty stressful.  Other than the upcoming terminations, things have been going pretty well, though.

Afternoon folks.  Y'all been doing ok?  We got to do some fishing this morning.  It was a large pond that I have never fished before.  We had to fight a ton of grass but the fishing was fun.  

Evenin' folks.  I came here, expecting to hit up "The Asylum of Dissidents", but when I get here, it's just "The Asylum". How is it that I start coming back around some, if only for a few minutes in the evening, and crap gets deleted?  I hate to see it go.  Anywho, hope y'all are well.  Have a good day tomorrow.  I'll talk to you guys later.

First time this season they've been swept.

Question: if the All-Star Game is in a NL park, why are they using the DH?

It's an all star game.  The fans don't want to see pitchers batting.  They want to see pitchers pitch and hitters hit.

 

Actually, when that pitcher is Cliff Lee, we don't want to see him do either.

After the way they applauded Cox after the last game last year, it will take more than JJ getting snubbed for me to start disliking the Giants.  That was one of the classiest things I've ever seen a baseball team do.

I know we need a bat, but defensively, our outfield is pretty well set.  I know it would never happen, but I would love for us to trade for a 2nd baseman who will actually hit when he gets here.

Johnny Venters=money! Is this a changing of the guard, or was Kimbrel just given the day off?

Gonzales said JV closing was not indicative of a change, he was just giving CK a rest because he had to throw so many night before.  I don't know if I believe him.  We'll see. 

  Speaking of JV, is there any chance if he keeps this up through the whole season, he would be in the Cy Young talks?
