  1. Not sure what happened, but he posted a message on the fantasy league board saying he's been banned from posting here for life
  2. Sorry guys, been out of town in Nashville for the weekend and just got back home. I figured out how to random generate the draft order vs the 30min prior to draft time (default in Yahoo). Here are the results.
  3. Yes, move the TE declared out to the IR position and pick up another TE from FA pool to start in his place. Yahoo is clunky in that it doesn't even show the IR spot until you have someone with one of the designations I listed and it still doesn't show it until you click on the injured player to move him.
  4. @AUBwins, I'd also take a look at the help page at top right in the Yahoo League (looks like a ?) to help familiarize yourself with how Yahoo league works. Clicking on this when on any of the league fantasy screens will give a variety of topics to help you out or if you are not sure, you can just use the search function. We start the following positions with 5 bench spots and 1 IR spot. The IR Spot can be a little tricky and most do not use it to their advantage. You can put a player in the IR slot if he has one of the following designations (Out, IR, PUP, PUP-R). You can then add another player from Waiver Wire or Free Agent pool for the injured player without having to drop someone. Once the designated player is back Active, you will be forced to drop someone from your roster before you can move him back to the bench or starting spot. You can also choose to leave the player in the IR slot indefinitely (even if healthy) and play with the roster you have, but you will not be able to make any trades, waiver claims, or FA acquisitions until you reactivate the player from IR. One of the most important pieces to doing well in fantasy is knowing how to play the waiver wire / FA pool. Most all leagues are won by effectively managing the roster via this avenue, along with trades, throughout the year. Weekly waivers are processed on Tuesday night/early Wed morning. Players not claimed from waivers move to FA pool. Waiver priority is a weekly continual rolling list. The initial waiver priority will be the inverse of the draft order meaning draft spot 12 will have 1st priority and 1st draft spot will have last priority for waivers. From here on out, as people use their waiver priority, you move to the back of priority list. Holding a waiver priority can be especially helpful for using at the right time (let's say a stud RB like Zeke Elliot gets hurt and his backup Tony Pollard is not rostered and on waivers...with the #1 waiver priority, you could put in the claim and be guaranteed to get him). This is where strategy comes in as a Fantasy manager of knowing when to burn your waiver priority. Once players clear waivers and end up in FA pool, you can add/drop players without impacting your waiver priority. All players in FA pool move to Waivers at start of their respective game. Any players that are dropped to the Waiver wire from a team will be on Waivers for 2 days (same rules above apply for claiming), before they will roll back into FA pool. Understand bye weeks for each of your players and how to manage your bench to get you through these weeks. Also take this into account when making trades where one player has already had his bye week vs a player who still has a bye week coming. There are many websites out there that are useful but I normally use fantasy pros, cbssports, espn, and nfl for draft/weekly rankings. I like fantasy pros probably the best because the rankings are a composite average of many "experts" lol...https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/ If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'm sure someone will know and be able to help you out. Welcome to the league.
  5. Still needing one more for the AU Family League if anyone is looking. See link to join--> https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/924034/invitation?key=e8403bcabd3b9078&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=1b79156f655566e0
  6. Yes, should be taken care of. Can you still access your original team?
  7. Got word that Nola will not be able to participate in league this year. We need one more to complete the league. Join here-->https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/924034/invitation?key=e8403bcabd3b9078&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=1b79156f655566e0
  8. No worries bro. I sent Nola a PM as well, just waiting on him to confirm once he gets back online. We have plenty of time to find one more if he can't do it this year.
  9. We have 10 locked in. I reached out to one of my old frat brothers and had him join the league. 12 if we hear back from Nola or Jason. I'll trim the bench spots once we have confirmation on how many teams we have.
  10. Set the draft for Tuesday, 8/27 @ 8pm EDT. We need at minimum, one more person to draft Anyone looking for a league, join at https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/924034/invitation?key=e8403bcabd3b9078&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=1b79156f655566e0
  11. Zeke Elliot and M Gordon are 2 to keep your eye on. A Brown if he doesn't get to use his "special" helmet 😂
  12. See link above to join league @Tiger I'll try to setup a draft date/time when I get home this evening. Let me know if weeknights are better for everyone and any dates that are completely out. I'll probably set it up for between Wk 3 and 4 of preseason. Would like to wait until after Wk 4 (8/29) due to potential injuries...but I have commitments to AU Football on 8/31 and Darlington 9/1. Season starts 9/5.
  13. Trade deadline is Week 10 (Nov 9th). When you said mid season, I thought you were saying like week 7
  14. That's a little extreme imo. A team that's been ravaged by injuries and is back of pack mid season looking to make a move to stay competitive shouldn't be relegated to the waiver wire / FA list to find his only options. The ravaged injury team giving up 1 stud for 2-3 quality players in return to help fill his need would be fair in that situation. Agree or no? I get BS trades for collusion and I monitor all trades, but we have a league vote to confirm/deny trades. A league I was in last year had the ultimate 1 and 3 seed teams in playoff trade prior to deadline near end of reg season (M Thomas for M Gordon)...trade benefitted both as one needed serious help at WR and the other at RB. Trade was fair and benefitted both teams. As long as that's the case in all trades (benefits both teams), I don't see a need for an extreme trade deadline.
  15. If we go 12 man, I will shallow the bench to 5 instead of 6.
  16. Ok, we have 7 confirmed @Coastal Tiger @aujeff11 @Auctoritas @aubearcat @GwillMac6 @auburntiger1987 @McLoofus Need confirmations from @NolaAuTiger @jAUSon @weathergeakal 2 additional spots available for anyone looking for a fun league Join at https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/924034/invitation?key=e8403bcabd3b9078&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=1b79156f655566e0
  17. Link posted above @McLoofus. Join up and we'll figure it out. We should have plenty of time to hopefully fill it out
  18. https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/924034/invitation?key=e8403bcabd3b9078&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=1b79156f655566e0 @GwillMac6 here is the link to league to join. I expanded league to 12 members. I can adjust as we get closer to draft day pending who signs up. Looking forward to it.
  19. Jeff, Check me on this. Below is a screen shot of league from last year (8 teams) Looks like we have confirmation from @Coastal Tiger @aujeff11 @Auctoritas @aubearcat @auburntiger1987 No confirmation yet from @NolaAuTiger @jAUSon @weathergeakal New member looks like @GwillMac6 but he also tagged @McLoofus and @Tiger as in Need some confirmation so I can set number of teams and put out a link to join league.
  20. Yea I’m down to do it again. I’ll need to activate the league when I get back in town. Any dates work better than others for the draft?
  21. Glad to see Carlson turn it around after the rough start with Vikings. "He's who we thought he was" lol. Wonder if Zimmer is regretting getting trigger happy and cutting him too soon.
  22. Got to love fantasy. I squeaked out a championship in my other league, I was also tops in PF/PA lol but managed to get the W in the finals. QB: Mayfield RB: Zeke/CMC WR: M Thomas/TY Hilton TE: J Samuels (was a fantasy gift by Yahoo when Conner went down with having him listed as RB/TE) Flex: M Gordon (guy dropped him when he got hurt late in year lol) K: Zuerlein DST: Bears
  23. Congrats @aujeff11 on winning the 2nd annual AUF Fantasy Championship by a score of 159.88 - 125.30 over me. Your team was stacked and maybe had one down week all year lol. We'll do it again next year and maybe get a few more who will actively keep up with their teams next year to at least keep the league competitive. Merry Christmas to all.
