  1. Praying for you fifty.  My father in law was just diagnosed w/ pancreatic cancer.  I’m believing for complete healing for him too.

My wife, the lovely natural medicine nerd that she is, has gone scorched earth on the rest of the family.  She’s cut out sugar from our diet and has us all eating apricot seeds (they’re not too bad, like bitter almonds).

  2. Anybody else investing in BTC or ETHE ETFs in the stock market?  We’re (really my wife) well versed in crypto, both BTC and the Alts/Memes but I was curious how these newer ETFs would react, so I threw $1500 into Grayscale’s ETHE and BTC back in early January just to experiment.  I’m up 40% since then, which is nothing compared to leveraged crypto alts, BUT, considering it’s the stock market I think that’s great.

    Advantages Ive experienced:

    - crypto fluctuates so much so the ETFs are somewhat volatile compared to other stock investments, which can be fun to track.

    - the ETFs seem far less volatile than the actual crypto coins so you have some built in landing cushion at the floor and ceiling.  Less likely to lose your butt like you can with alt coins.

    - The ETFs seem to react precious minutes later than the actual coins do so you have time to dump your investment if you see a bad trend.

    - Trading ends when the market closes, so it’s nice not to have to wake up at 3am to close a position that’s going in the wrong direction…you wait until opening the next day.

  3. Where do you think he gets his inside information?  Does anybody else get sick and tired of seeing this?

And to keep it “bipartisan” for those of you who can’t grasp anything other than R vs D…here’s Pelosi’s big catch…

Kiffen and DJ were immediately identified as 1a/1b.  CHF wanted CK more due to personal familiarity, but CJG and CJT have experience with DJ.

We waited until CK could talk, interviewed (he interviewed with NFL teams also), gave Him through the weekend to make a decision, and made our choice. Both obviously had contracts ready to execute.

The other story that has been circulating is that there was a hold-up regarding Durkin's TAMU contract.  TAMU is apparently in between AD's and there was a matter of buy-out (either from TAMU's end or Durkin's) that needed to be resolved.  I suppose both the Kiffin story and the Durkin story could be true, just wondering how the two timelines align.

Wait and see. Seems like a Derrick Mason kind of hire… another SEC retred who has some good numbers in the past.

DC Retreads at AU > Muschamp, Oliver, Steele.  Defense lasts in the SEC.  Ellis Johnson is the only previous DC I can remember not working.

OC retreads are an entirely different situation.

Seems to me that universities should help fund NIL (but to stay compliant it should be blind trust ), coaches should also help ( they and universities are main beneficiaries of CFB).

Why can't player "salaries" get funded from tickets, merchandise, and TV like pro sports?  What's broken about the college model that alumni and boosters have to make up the difference?  I'm assuming NFL teams don't operate in the red year after year and they pay huge salaries to players.

College football programs (staff, maintenance, tech, and facilities) get additional help from boosters, student fees, and some state money that NFL teams don't entirely get.  Why go after Middle-class Mike for NIL subscriptions?

Not standardized so some schools pay more and others less.

Typical stipends are between 3500 and 5000 a year.

Or were like 5 years ago, I am going off like 5 year old knowledge... for all I know they stopped doing that when NIL became a thing

+ housing and tuition.  The cost of college isn't cheap, it's up there with healthcare as having far outpaced the rate of inflation.  I get that it still doesn't equal the market value for some of the players, but it's far from next to nothing.
